Houston CBS Radio Affiliate 950KPRC Dumps Rather May Cancel CBS Contract

Just announced on the Chris Baker talk show:

Ken Charles, the Station Manager for 950KPRC in Houston (the largest talk station in Houston) just sent the CBS News VP all his nasty e-mails and told them that CBS will either fire Dan Rather by Monday and come completely clean on the matter or he will take CBS News off the air of his radio stations (he manages two of the largest in Houston).

He took Dan Rather's 4pm top of the hour brodcast off effective immediately and replaced it with Fox news.

He said he will find a way to cancel the CBS contract if they do not resolve this in a manner that retains their credibility as a news source.

Liar Dan did indeed get his first broadcast job in Houston for a local TV station. He was hired by Bob Levy, the author of a book on baseball, who later became an executive for the Houston Astros. Levy is still a friend of Rather. Rather dedicated one of his books to him. Levy now lives in Washington state, and is a frequent contributor to Delphi forum FANPARKMGR. You can also find the son of Milt Pappas there.

YEah, I told Ken Charles the same thing yesterday. I said I would change over to 700 during Glenn Beck, and if Laura Ingraham had something more interesting, sometimes I wouldn't make it back. Actually I listen to Laura more cuz Glenn gets into the comedy sometimes when I want red meat. But when she goes to break I'll switch back to 950, and if I like what Glenn is saying I don't make it back to Laura.

KSEV was going great for a while when they put Michael Reagan against Michael Savage at 6:00p.m. I was listening quite a bit but they've now got some local investment show.

At 9:00 Mike Gallagher is on 700KSEV against Tony Snow on 950 KPRC. I like Tony better, but they are both good.
