[history]
Just announced on the Chris Baker talk show:
Ken Charles, the Station Manager for 950KPRC in Houston (the largest talk station in Houston) just sent the CBS News VP all his nasty e-mails and told them that CBS will either fire Dan Rather by Monday and come completely clean on the matter or he will take CBS News off the air of his radio stations (he manages two of the largest in Houston).
He took Dan Rather's 4pm top of the hour brodcast off effective immediately and replaced it with Fox news.
He said he will find a way to cancel the CBS contract if they do not resolve this in a manner that retains their credibility as a news source.

"Time to freep the other CBS-affiliates."see post 151. Let's jump on this while the opportunity is here. And spread the word. Emails, call-ins, phone calls. Might even contact local radio station sponsors. Whatever each of us can do will help. If enough of us pile on, we can cause CBS and Viacom shareholders/execs some major pain.

I just sent this e-mail to my local CBS radio station. I encourage other Freepers to contact local stations and let them know what you think.
Dear Sir,
I am a long time listener of WSJS. I count on the radio station to provide me with up-to -the-minute news and opinion. However, I no longer feel that I can get credible national news from CBS. I expect to get partisan opinion from Laura Ingraham, Rush et al., but I would like to get unbiased news during the news breaks. The level of credibility at CBS is now such that they will report unsubstantiated allegations from unnamed sources based on forged documents. This is not news but amateurish propaganda. I will no longer listen. I'm sorry that I will have to find a new source for my local news, weather and traffic, but I will not listen while a "news" program perpetrates a fraud.
Sincerely,

Wow, this is great news. That was the only thing I really hated about KPRC, those lousy See-BS news broadcasts. I am glad that Ken Charles is taking some action. Ken rocks!

That might be a stretch, but let's use that description for now.Maybe I'll check it out......

You better believe it. I've been highly entertained all week because of this. :-)
How are you doing Sweetie? I haven't talked to you in ages.

This is only one! We all need to demand the same from our own local affiliates!
