Howlin set a great example last sept 8th when he started a live thread for the 60 minutes II story.
Let's see how much squirmin we here ....
Doesn't wash, if memos are fake then story is discredited because the implication is that the story needed to be dressed up as memos to be credible.
""The Bush story is no longer on the Front Page of their website. No link either."
Now THAT strikes me as an intriguing development..hmm.."
Welllll, I just checked, and the bogus memos are still on line. I printed them off for a keep sake a few days ago. It's only a matter of time before they get yanked.
Ratherhaufer and the other Hitler youth at the DNC have been sending love notes to each other through the old ladies chess board! They are beating it out of her now with CBS security to find the type writer to make real forgeries and not Microsoft copies, get it!
It has been said before but this just keeps getting better and better. LoL!
"If they are waiting for the 86 year old Knox woman to sound as though she is NOT reading a CBS talking point memo, they are going to have to postpone this until Vegas starts taking bets on Pro Wrestling."
Or, it could be that a CBS staffer had to run to WalGreens to buy some depends .....
Is there a legal theory somewhere that would allow the Killians to go after CBS?

Aw, somebody give my husband a break.
I think he's going to have a stroke if he doesn't hear something, at least whether Dan is already on air in East or whether their news show doesn't start till 6 or 6:30.
Sorry, I think Bush had something like 300 or 350 flight hours, which would come out to 12 and a half to 14 and a half days.
But then again, how many of Kerry's four months was he actually in Cambodia....
From Kerry Spot:
YUP, RATHER IS TALKING TO THE SECRETARY [09/15 05:32 PM]
Score one for my sources that I can't name.
Howard Kurtz, who has just kicked tushie on this story since Day One, is on CNN now, and confirms that Rather is interviewing 86-year-old Marian Carr Knox, former secretary to Lt. Col. Jerry Killian.
Does this mean CBS is sticking by the memos? Or are they going to concede on the memos, and somehow try to insist that the attention should now shift to Bush's insufficient answers to the questions raised by the fake memos?
UPDATE: I now have a new theory. Drudge reported last... Thursday night, I think, that CBS was launching an internal investigation. Rather came out Friday afternoon and said there was no truth to that, that no investigation was being launched.
This prompted some speculation that Drudge's source was someone in CBS News who supported the idea of an internal investigation, and who was trying to build support for the idea. A producer of 48 Hours or Face The Nation or the original 60 Minutes, say. Someone who would want to pressure the network's suits to check into Rather's story.
What if this person within CBS, a foe of Rather, is the one telling reporters to expect a statement?
Nah, CBS would have shot down the discussion of an impending statement or "clarification" the way Rather shot down the "internal investigation" story.
UPDATE: Many readers suggest that Rather's defiant interview to the New York Observer has forced CBS to push back whatever announcement, statement or clarification they were going to issue today.
"His is the excuse presidency -- never wrong, never responsible, never to blame ... no, it's not our fault; no, there's nothing wrong; no, we can't do better; no, we haven't made a single mistake," Kerry said.Ironic ain't it?
Holy crap. This is hugh! And worrisome. Despite how ridiculous we all know this is, I'm afraid the MSM is going to hit the wall on this story and there is going to be a backlash tomorrow, beginning with this new C-BS defense. The old lady is going to seem more credible than anyone else has so far(dollars to donuts they will continue to deep-six the quotes from Killian's widow and son), and most of the MSM people are, in the end, not going to want to see Dan Rather fired. They may even pick up on C-BS' brazenness and start believing that maybe the story IS true, even if the memos were forged.
[Bill O'Reilly]I mean, how could Dan Rather face his audience FOUR TIMES with the same story if he knows it isn't true or can't prove it? And hey, these bloggers nailed C-BS this time, but maybe next time they will come after US! We have to protect our phony-baloney jobs here![/Bill O'Reilly]
"Kurtz says right now, CBS is interviewing coaching Killian's secretary."
Bush = Buckhead!
CBS has tossed the shovel and brought in a dam& backhoe. Keep digging boys.
