Dan Rather as the Klingon commander at the end of Star Trek 6:

"To be.... or not to be...."

Nope, you really want Ahnold's Hamlet from Last Action hero:

(Ahnold lights up a cigar) "To be ... or not to be ..."

(Ahnold depresses the firing button and the entire castle explodes) ... "not to be ..."

Thank for that. Now where is the letter from Roy Blunt and John McCain? (I need to send these to a friend)

New DNC catch phrase: GWB was 'apparently' AWOL from the NG.

[Boortz had an article this morning about GWB's NG. He was required to accumulate 50 points yearly. The lowest years of his totals (averaging over 100 points per year) were 56 points his last two years. GWB completed his service and got an honorable discharge. Two facts the media keep letting the Dem mouthpieces ignore.]

Who is the RNC guy on Fox News now? He's good. Real good.

He said this CBS fraud thing is just like the helmet in the Dukakis campaign: it's a distraction, but it's only a distraction because Kerry has nothing to say and has to manufacture stuff just to get the word out.

My guess is that Chris Cox was the final straw. The last thing CBS wants in a election year is to BE the story instead of the story pusher..

At this point I have to assume they won't be releasing anything until 6:30, all in an attempt to get us to watch their lame news program.

That's what I was thinking. They've been building up the suspense all day..........hope their message falls good and flat for a maximum audience.

I ju;st heard that CBS has been interviewing the 86 yr old secretary all afternoon. A little late I'd say.

Can we read anything into the delay. I wouldn't think CBS would back down, but the delay makes my think lawyers are involved.

He accumulated 950 points. 19 years worth of points! He probably spent more time in the seat of his fighter/interceptor than Kerry spent TOTAL in Vietnam.

How about this:

"Dan Rather was replaced by a robot some time ago-- but the RNC hacked into his programming and made him run the story??? Anybody? Anybody?"

It's AFTER 5 now! And STILL no SeeBS announcement!

Somewhere Britt Hume is salivating as it gets closer to his airtime.

I don't think Rather has ever felt what it feels like to wear any kind of uniform.

He is, however, an alum of the Sam Houston Teachers College I've heard....
