He's Done Even More Damage Than We Thought....

He's Done Even More Damage Than We Thought....

Just so you know: I attacked and took over 2 countries. President Bush gave both of these countries fair warning what the reprecusions would be. Afghanistan was told to turn over Osama and shut down the Terrorist training camps - or else. They did not, and the or else happened. They will be having free elections in January - we are staying there until the government asks us to leave.

Iraq had been for years attacking our Airplanes with attempts at shooting them down (all failed). We were protecting the people of the south and the north in Iraq from being GASSED again. We did not stop the initial attack on the Kurds, but we were not going to let Sadam use his WMD's against them again. All this was done with the UN approval. They also will have Free Elections within a year.

I spent the U.S. surplus and bankrupted the US Treasury. War Costs! In order to go after the Terrorists that attacked the US and Declared War on the US, it takes a great deal of money. Did we need to bail out the Airline Industry after 9/11 - no - not really - I would have made them low interest loans, not grants, but that's not the way the Government does things. Just like all the money being sent to help repair Florida and other areas of the south for the Huricanes. These people CHOOSE to live there and know the risks. If they want to rebuild, let them, just not on my dime. Yes President Bush has done some things I disapprove of, but he is the President we need now in a time of War.

I shattered the record for the biggest annual deficit in history (not easy!). As a percentage of GDP, it is not the "biggest" deficit in history.

I set an economic record for the most personal bankruptcies filed in any 12 month period. Is the Government responsible for "PERSONAL" bankruptcies? I think not, as this is a personal thing, not a government thing.

I set all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the stock market. The stock market was already in a downturn when GW took over for the previous administration. What other country in the world today could have taken a hit on their soil like we did and still have a viable stock market. It was overvalued anyway - all those friggin dot coms.

I am the first president in decades to execute a federal prisoner. Boo Hoo! Because of the Democrats, Millions of unborn babys have been killed in the name of "A womans right to choose" - What about the baby's right to live?

In my first year in office I set the all-time record for most days on vacation by any president in US history (tough to beat my dad's, but I did). After taking the entire month of August off for vacation, I presided over the worst security failure in US history. Does a Presiden ever really have a vacation? This is just a stupid comment.

I set the record for most campaign fund raising trips by any president in US history. And Mr. Kerry has raised an enourmous amount of cash also. Whoopee!

In my first two years in office over 2 million Americans lost their jobs. Again, the economy was already in the tank, and 9/11 happened. Jeez, the man is not God, just prays to Him.

I cut unemployment benefits for more out-of-work Americans than any other president in US history. I, just like the next man loves to get paid to stay at home, but really, if our country were to save some money, unemployment would not need to exist, but - after all - it is Employment Insurance which the company has to pay into. Are the premiums being paid enough to cover the unemployment for all the workers unemployed? Probably not, therfore the Government has to "subsidize" the difference, and by cutting (actually not extending) the number of weeks for the worker to find a job should give them more of a push to find something.

I set the all-time record for most real estate foreclosures in a 12-month period. Again, is this the governments problem? I see people all the time that have 2 car payments and are buying a house that they really can't afford.

I appointed more convicted criminals to administration positions than any president in US history. Unknown, it does not seem logical though, as Mr. Clinton had a great many of them in his administration (either that or they were killed and replaced)

I set the record for the fewest press conferences of any president, since the advent of TV. Who cares, there were enough other ways for the information to get to the "press"

I signed more laws and executive orders amending the Constitution than any other US president in history. Most of these were to revoke the ones that made no sense to still be on the books.

I presided over the biggest energy crises in US history and refused to intervene when corruption was revealed. The corruption was taken care of in the legal manner, what did you want him to do? Have the Government take over full control of these companies? Please!

I cut health care benefits for war veterans. Unknown...I need more info on this one.

I set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously take to the streets to protest me (15 million people), shattering the record for protest against any person in the history of mankind. Heck then He must be doing something right.

I dissolved more international treaties than any president in US history. Most of these treaties were not worth the paper they were written on.

I've made my presidency the most secretive and unaccountable of any in US history. Again - So what!

Members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in US history. (The poorest multimillionaire, Condoleeza Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named after her.) I do believe that being rich is a right in this country. Most of these people at least earned their money - not married into it like a certain presidential candidate.

I am the first president in US history to have all 50 states of the Union simultaneously struggle against bankruptcy. Is that the Governments fault? I think that most states have depended so long on the government dole, that when that money was cut, they needed to balance their budget again. Poor Babies.

I presided over the biggest corporate stock market fraud in any market in any country in the history of the world. This is a repeat of the corporate fraud. This all started before GW was in Office - so blame him for something he did not start - but was finally discovered on his watch.

I am the first president in US history to order a US attack AND military occupation of a sovereign nation, and I did so against the will of the United Nations and the vast majority of the international community. This is not true at all. We have been in numerouse wars over our history. The Spanish American War, the War of 1812, WWI, WWII, Vietnam, Korea, Revolutionary War, American Civil War, US - Indian War. You name it, we have been in wars and have been occupiers, in fact my dad's only medal was from the Army of Occupation in Germany after WWII.

I have created the largest government department bureaucracy in the history of the United States, called the "Bureau of Homeland Security"(only one letter away from BS). I did not believe that this was necessary, however, the Administration did everything in it's power to keep the size an scope of this agency to a minimum. Allowing the Homeland Defense employees to become Unionized would have created a nightmare.

I set the all-time record for biggest annual budget spending increases, more than any other president in US history (Ronnie was tough to beat, but I did it!!). That is because he signed into law a great number of spending bills to increase the size and breadth of the Military, as well as some of those "wonderful" social programs - like - prescription drug benefits for seniors...

I am the first president in US history to compel the United Nations remove the US from the Human Rights Commission. The UN is irrevelvant - what a bunch of sissies.

I am the first president in US history to have the United Nations remove the US from the Elections Monitoring Board. Who Cares.

I removed more checks and balances, and have the least amount of congressional oversight than any presidential administration in US history But still cannot get judges approved through congress

I rendered the entire United Nations irrelevant. I withdrew from the World Court of Law. allowing an international court to imprison US citizens for crimes in other countries or even our own is just ludicrous. This would make us a sovriegn nation second to the UN.

I refused to allow inspectors access to US prisoner! s of war and by default no longer abide by the Geneva Conventions. Are we the only ones that abide by the Geneva Conventions? LOL

I am the first president in US history to refuse United Nations election inspectors access during the 2002 US elections. Why do they need to inspect ours, there are many countries around the world that don't allow them, and I feel no need to allow the UN. If it was up to me, the UN would be kicked out of the US.

I am the all-time US (and world) record holder for most corporate campaign donations. Not any more - Mr. Kerry has beat me in that reguard (Thank you Mr. Soros)

The biggest lifetime contributor to my campaign, who is also one of my best friends, presided over one of the largest corporate bankruptcy frauds in world history (Kenneth Lay, former CEO of Enron Corporation). Can't always choose the right friends - he did nothing to stop Lay from going to jail after being convicted.

I spent more money on polls and focus groups than any president in US history. So what?

I am the first president to run and hide when the US came under attack (and then lied, saying the enemy had the code to Air Force 1) That was not Mr. Bush's decision. There are rules established to prevent the president from being harmed when the country is being attacked.

I am the first US president to establish a secret shadow government. The shadow government was established in President Eisenhower's Presidency, and has been modified seeveral times since.

I took the world's sympathy for the US after 9/11, and in less than a year made the US the most resented country in the world (possibly the biggest diplomatic failure in US and world history). these countries resent the fact that President Bush does what he says

I am the first US president in history to have a majority of the people of Europe (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and stability. cool - at least know they know who they can depend on in a real fight.

I changed US policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts. Unknown

I set the all-time record for the number of administration appointees who violated US law by not selling their huge investments in corporations bidding for gov't contracts. Unknown - But it wouldn't suprise me if this hasn't been going on for years

I have removed more freedoms and civil liberties for Americans than any other president in US! history. 9/11 changed a lot of freedoms, but that is no excuse - I think that he needs to revamp the emigration/visa policies in the US

I entered office with the strongest economy in US history and in less than two years turned every single economic category heading straight down. The economey was already tanking - thanks to the wonderful tax increases that the previous administration instituted and the death of the dot coms.

RECORDS AND REFERENCES: I have at least one conviction for drunk driving in Maine (Texas driving record has been erased and is not available). And how many people that you know has not driven drunk once in a while. this happened when he was young and he has been clean since.

I was AWOL from the National Guard and deserted the military during time of war. There is no proof of this what-so-ever.

I refuse to take a drug test or even answer any questions about drug use. (wink, wink) Never hear this one, but I believe they do that kind of testing when they get their physicals.

All records of my tenure as governor of Texas have been spirited away to my fathers library, sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view. Unknown

All records of any SEC investigations into my insider trading or bankrupt companies are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view. Who sealed the records?

All minutes of meetings of any public corporation for which I served on the board are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view. Unknown

Any records or minutes from meetings I (or my VP) attended regarding public energy policy are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public review. That was Government policy

Several people have thrown this at me over the past few days. Must be a new talking point. When I asked for more information, I'm told that "it's in all the newspapers!"

If you find out anything more about this, please ping me. Thanks.

Pure dreck is right. That one comment about Bush setting a new record for campaign appearances is hard to beleive. Clinton made them non-stop for months on end. His fundraiser appearances alone were mid-boggling in their frequency and sheer numbers. Airforce One became Clinton's taxi for personal gain.

I expect the President to use the plane for his trips. I just don't expect those trips to be all about him personally for months on end. Clinton, made Bush's use of Airforce one look like amature hour.

According to eveything I have heard, this charge about President Bush cutting veteran's benefits is simply untrue. To some people it just sounds like something a republican would do, so it must be correct.

IIRC, this is an old email forward (maybe with recent additions?), I got it from a liberal friend over a year ago and it was also posted on FR about then and debunked point by point. I remember that there was a link to a page where someone went through it in great detail. Don't know how easy it would be to find in a FR search though, depends on the original title but it's worth a shot.

With regard to the claim that he cut health care benefits for vets, it's a bald-faced lie and should be easily debunked by googling as this issue was discussed in the MSM and on FR around the time Bush went to speal before the American Legion.

I spent the U.S. surplus and bankrupted the US Treasury.

There NEVER WAS a surplus.

The "surplus" was an artifact of millions of people rolling their traditional IRAs into Roth IRAs, forcing early payment of income tax on billions of dollars of retirement savings.

You could proportion equal payment of this income tax over four years if you chose to do so. I paid an extra $6,000 per year for four years to take care of it. Millions of other people were doing the same thing.

The "surplus" existed for four years. The Roth rollover grace period lasted for four years.

You do the math.

I think that one about making the UN irrelevant is sort of true. He actually made them expose their irrelevance themselves. Of course I like that one.

The original title of the email was "The Resume of George W Bush". It was debunked on FR here - http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/906471/posts

Unfortunately the PDF file link is no longer available. Maybe you could contact the athor - I pinged him above. If you google this "resume" you'll see it all over the place as well as probably find it debunked but I haven't searched for that so not sure.

For the one about rolling back more civil liberties than any other President, remind the lefty who confronts you about this tidbit that liberal hero FDR signed the executive orders that lead to the internment of millions of Italian and German immigrants and Japanese (both immigrants and American-born). You could also toss in that Pres. Bush let the assault weapons ban expire (like lefties care about the second amendment).
