Oh YEAH...that's the only thing for it, a Congressional investigation. Remember Watergate, how it took months for the details to come out, how it took so long for the average citizen to become aware of the magnitude of it? Well, now it's Rather's turn to squirm. No, we won't have Woodward and Bernstein working night and day to develop this story, but maybe the blogosphere can take the place of Deep Throat.

This might have been already stated, but I heard on Rush Limbaugh where Dan Rather personally contributed monies to a democratic fundraiser run by the former Coast Guard official interviewed on 60 Minutes. The fundraiser was for some type of elected official in Texas. In addition, Rather's daughter worked for the campaign at the time.

If a criminal investigation gets underway, this will not bode well for Rather.....the connection to this guy, that is.

Tampering with a Federal Election... must be a crime. But, Bernie Goldberg said Rather fully intends "to ride out" this storm as he has done in past storms. Hope he and CBS don't get away with a crime and subsequent cover-up.
