I have a question.
I was watching Fox & Friends this morning and noticed at least two zoom shots of the forged memos.
I tried to see if there was an originating phone number on top/left.
Now my question(s): 1) Do fax machines still print this information on any/all pages?
2) Has anyone tried to see if there is such a thing on these forgeries?
3)Does anyone have a screen capture of the FULL document, including the header, and if so would you post it here please?
The date should indicate the date sent, time sent, originating fax number sending document and name of sender, according to all the machines I have ever used.
The phone number (212-975-1998) is an unpublished number in New York, NY, and it should belong to CBS since they are ID'd in the header. Maybe CBS NY office faxed it to DC office. Call it and see! Will prob. get a fax tone.
As I recall one of the threads right here on Free Republic posted that last week and I bookmarked the page it linked to just in case anybody ever ask the question again. I'm kind of busy today but if it's real important to you I can go back three or four days and try and find the thread I got it from. I believe these were the documents that the Whitehouse released, having gotten them from CBS. Not positive though.
I just dialed the number and it is a fax machine. If it's CBS or not, no idea.
Now, who has a fax machine to send another Bush Bash document?
I saw a beauty yesterday that had, "..President Bush, er, 1LT Bush..." All just like an original!
Google search results for the number:

CBS - David Hawkins (+1-212) 975 1998
Good. Now who is David Hawkins, what does HE know and when did he know it?
lol. Can't answer that one. His name appeared at the bottom of the google search. I clicked on the link and it looks like a long list of contact information.
Testimony of David G. Hawkins, Senior Attorney, Natural Resources Defense Council
Before the U.S. Senate Committee on Governmental Affairs
Per google search. Could this be the one?
I think it was just a contact name and number for an organization in Burma.
Here's some info. on Hawkins, a CBS reporter:
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2002/10/09/broadcasts/main524910.shtml
(CBS) David Hawkins was named a CBS News Correspondent based in Tel Aviv in August 2000.
Hawkins was born on Aug. 12, 1962. He was graduated from Cornell University in 1985 with a bachelor of arts degree in Russian and Soviet studies. Hawkins lives in Tel Aviv with his wife and son.
Mideast reporter so I think we've answered two questions by accident. We know who CBS got the document from and we know what Saddam does all days sitting in his cell trying to get even with the Prez.
I looked at both the CBS copy and The USA Today copys... there a lot of extra making on the CBS version...(texted underlined in pen, address blacked out) that not on the USA today copys
Also the dates
02 Feb 72 is a Wednesday
04 May 72 is a Thursday
19 May 72 is a Friday
A Holiday, Armed Forces Day is Saturday, 20 May, 1972
1 Aug 72 Tuesday
24 June 73 Sunday
18 Aug 73 Saturday
I be curious to know Killian work schedule
isnt the Guard part time? (or was Killian full time) also if he was out of town on Holiday or vacation during any of the dates
And Finally the 24 June 73 Sunday memo and 18 Aug 73 Saturday both talk of conversation to group and staff
on those days
is it odd to be working on the weekend and that Group and Staff would be on the weekend also
2-1-2 is NY I believe. DC is 202. So the number is 1-212-975-1998.
Found it, Higgy. Thanks!
"Intellus" (attached to "switchboard.com") claims that they will identify the owner for a price.
Think back to the early nineties, and maybe you'll recall this (it made it's way to every fax machine in the history of the world):
I didn't even realize when I posted
http://wid.ap.org/documents/bush/040908xfer.pdf
who's site it was. Then I deleted everything down to just
http://wid.ap.org/
and it appears to be an Associated Press site where they store stuff. So maybe AP got the stuff straight from CBS.
You know how those credible news organizations stick together.
Great sluthing Budge. You turned up a hole in their boat, which may sink it.
