Did anybody just hear Keith Olberman talking about Buckhead???
I wasn't paying that much attention, but I could have sworn I heard him say that "Buckhead" was an attorney who had just been to a meeting with the Bush-Cheney group before the memos were shown on CBS!
Inside industry news site.
Set up by a Cleveland anchor who made good.
One line from this week's newsletter says, "Olberman falls for IQ spoof and apologizes"
Need a subscription to read it, though.
Man, will YOU PLEASE check the schedule. You're Buckbeak on the 20th, I mean 20th, from 13:00-14:30 PST.
While you were watching Olberman, I was watching Hannity making Howard Wolfson look like the fool that he is.
Completely off topic - but, I was thinking about you all weekend every time I heard the talking heads count down to the expiration of the AWB.
Congratulations! to all of us.
I am Buckhead!
LOL, they can't STAND the fact that they were outsmarted by ordinary Americans. Someday they'll figure out that their audience is much smarter than they are.
We are all Buckhead. Buckhead is every FReeper determined to prevent fraud by the Democrats in the November election. That is why we attend our party meetings faithfully, and volunteer to do everything legally possible to block the Dem scammers at every turn.
Put that in yout pot pipe and smoke it, Olbermann.
Don't count on it.
That was good. Hannity and Rush are the only consistent conservatives who don't waiver and try to play to the middle. They are who they are and don't pull any of this independent B.S. Either you know what you stand for or you don't.
Sorry, I meant Buckwheat.
"Someday they'll figure out that their audience is much smarter than they are."
No they won't!
As long as they never figure out that Jim Robinson allows all of us to have three different screen names, then Buck should be fine.
Bill:
It isn't certain if Dan Rather knowingly introduced forged documents on national TV. What we do know is that his so-called investigation into these memos was shoddy and inept. This wasn't the work of a seasoned journalist, it was the work of an old man who has wielded too much power in the news industry, for too many years. It was the manipulation of facts in pursuit of a poltical end. I thought journalists were supposed to be detectives, to follow each lead and search out the truth, no matter where it took them, or what the outcome. Some people have said this fiasco is something you'd expect from a newly graduated journalism student. I disagree. A new journalist would have been trying to prove themselves, would have pursued every angle and presented the most thorough investigation they could. Instead, what I saw was an angry, biased man who allowed his political beliefs to run amok. If Rather isn't guilty, then why is he so rabidly defending the horrid research job he knows he did? Dan Rather's biggest mistake was putting his political affiliations ahead of his reporting. What's worse, he never even tried to hide it.
Your comment about their resentment of average Americans reminded me of the time Dan Quayle gave the press conference in front of a live Indiana audience. I think it was Bill Plant (no pun intended) who started throwing up these BS questions to Quayle and the crowd began booing. Plant and some other CBS guy was just beside himself over the audacity of people to challenge him that way.
LOL!!
All Freepers can stand up and say "I am Spartacus, er Buckhead"
Then the MSM can crucify the lot of us. Well they can try if they can stand the fight.
FOX figured that out a long time ago, they were quite shocked about it, but adjusted their reporting to take that into account. It's one of the reasons FOX is so popular.
Heck, I used to work, in the mid-60s for two different ad agencies which had a couple of high-end IBM typewriters for special projects. The account executives, however, only had Underwood uprights. I've ordered enough type on enough jobs that I know the difference between types of type. All the elements of forgery made absolute sense to me as soon as I read them, beginning with BuckHead's comment.
As you say, this ain't rocket science.

I am grateful they have not figured out that I am God
Or is it "what is a Keith Olberman?" I'm afraid that I have never watched/listened to the thing.
