Today George Bush (news - web sites) made the job of terrorists easier and made the job of America's law enforcement officers harder and that's just plain wrong," the Democratic nominee told a Washington audience.

Dear Mister Kerry,

As a former major city police officer, I can truly say you do not speak for me; neither do you speak the truth..and you know it.
You are a liar and a traitor and we will see to it that you never become President by continuing to expose your propaganda as the tripe it is.
You are a straw man.
Have a nice day.

"Today George Bush made the job of terrorists easier, BLAH, BLAH (gag)" the Democratic nominee told a Washington audience.

Oh really, you Jackass, I doubt this guy could buy an 'Assault Weapon' at a gun show - OR ANYWHERE in the USA!!

Kerry is the one in Congress. It was Congress that didn't do its work....unless of course, Kerry doesn't like the way the Constitution says Congress is to operate.

Make no mistake for even a second. Kerry hates guns and has never voted in favor of the 2d Amendment.

He can shoot clay pigeons all he wants on TV commercials, and it comes noplace near to outweighing 20 years of votes.

"Today George Bush made the job of terrorists easier

Oh, so now terrorists will LEGALLY purchase weapons in the USA to kill us with?

and made the job of America's law enforcement officers harder

Law enforcement officers job by it's very nature is HARD. If you want an easy job......be a paperboy, don't be a police officer.

Do you know of any terrorist that would let a gun control law get in his/her way?

Laws only affect the law-abiding.

The Senate already had passed an AWB extension bill (actually an amendment but whatever...) It was the House that was holding it up.

Reuters Caption:

U.S. President George W. Bush (news - web sites) is silhouetted against Air
Force One as he speaks at an event on healthcare in an airport hanger in
Muskegon, Michigan, September 13, 2004. Bush is campaigning on a bus tour
throughout Michigan before heading to Colorado later in the day.

Note that this aircraft is not the converted Boeing 747 that the President usually flies. Of course, any Air Force aircraft carrying the President is Air Force One, so the caption may be correct. OTOH, the President is not actually on the aircraft, is he?

"AWB extension bill "

It was actually an amendment stuck on another bill.

LOL! That's what I was thinking, only you said it better, NonValueAdded!

Pinging Southack: Can we all breathe a little easier, knowing FOR SURE that this thing WILL expire today? And we all know that John F'n Kerry can't be bothered to show up for work today to put his money where his mouth is, don't we? No, for him, it's just easier bashing President Bush. What I'm really asking about is whether there can be some kind of Dem dirty tricks at this stage.

The SAW (commonly called the AWB) has now expired.

It would now take *new* gun control measures to re-instate the AWB.

That could happen under a President Kerry, except, Senator Kerry has dismal odds of ever being elected President.

The AWB Has Expired - Gun Owners Have Won Again For All Americans!

"Let me be very clear. I support the Second Amendment. I've been a hunter all my life," Kerry said. "But I don't think we need to make the job of terrorists any easier."

If this is true, sKerry could easily get a bump in the poll by convincing the NRA that he deserves better than a 4% positive rating...

Sounds like easy pickin's to me... he ought to put his campaign staff right on it.

Thanks so much! What I was worried about is whether the pubbies in Congress would have the guts (and other bodily parts, lol!) to make sure it did NOT get sent to the President, which would have put him in the position of having to sign the extension (and lose a tremendous voting bloc of GOP support).

My next (admittedly naive) question is: Why won't more people read John Lott's wonderful book "More Guns, Less Crime"?

Apparently Kerry thinks the American people could be potential terrorists? Because it's the America peoples' right to keep and bear arms that shall not be infringed.

Kerry....picked up the endorsement of the National Association of Police Organizations, a coalition of more than 2,000 police unions and associations.

Endorsed by a union. Wow, who woulda thunk.

Kerry has too left feet and both sides of his mouth that he speaks out of them are wrong.

He has spent photo op, after photo op being seen with guns. He provided a gun to a bunch of coal miners so he can be seen receiving a gun.

He has goofy photo's with shell casings just about beaning him and then throws it all away with both hands.

What is the nocturnal emission remark remark?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't terrorists use bombs and airplanes?

What is Kerry talking about? I've never heard of terrorists going to gun shows for AW.

Second, what does hunting have to do with the second amendment?
