Thanks. Yeah, I can definitely see Hillary! fighting like hell to be Minority Leader to set up her White House run in '08.
You're welcome.
Hillary is a lot like Kerry, to know them is to despise them. If Hillary becomes minority leader, she will appear more often on TV and in the role of Bush Basher. The constant negativism will drive up her already inpressive negative ratings.
He is definitely going down and out of office.
Thune will win...if his campaign can keep the DIMS from registering DEAD Indians, people who moved out of SD ten years ago, and any felons hanging around...The USUAL DIMOCRAP voters.
Daschle has run in 86, 92, 98, and now 2004....He has never run in an election year where the GOP Presidential nominee has been terribly strong...except for this year. I have no doubt he will lose.
He shouldn't have any problem finding a job as a lobbyist since it runs deep in that family...
Mrs. Daschle's client list at Baker, Donelson Bearman and Caldwell includes the World Wildlife Fund, the American Coalition for Ethanol, beneficiaries of an amendment added by Sen. Daschle for mandatory ethanol use, and L-3 Communications, a manufacturer of baggage screening equipment. The former Deputy Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (his wife) also represents American and Norwest Airlines.
Lobbying may now be considered a Daschle family profession. The Senator and Mrs. Daschle's son Nathan was a lobbyist for the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees before taking a position at the Washington lobbying firm of Covington and Burling. Covington and Burling represents Microsoft, Merck, and the Washington Post among others.
The Daschles' daughter-in-law, Jill Gimmel Daschle, has started her own lobbying firm, JD Consulting, which will lobby with Sullivan & Baldick. Jill was a finance director for the 2000 re-election campaign of Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA). She moved on to New Hampshire Gov. Jeanne Shaheen's 2002 senate campaign as a fundraiser.
Last election cycle, the Dems got busted for voter fraud. Thune could've fought in court, but chose not to for the good of the voters and of the state. It would've been an expensive proposition.
Daschle's irrational outbursts last year put a lot of folks in opposition to him here, even though his power in Congress is good for the state...pork barrle and what not...
Dunno but one thing you can count on..it won't be anyone reasonable like Lieberman or Breaux.
I'm not sure how far this party has to sink before it finally wakes up.
LOL..good one.
Should be sent to all RATs looking for help..
Invite alGore to your meeting...he will find a way to help you OUT.
Tom, you're goin' DOWN boy!
Obviously, Tom's heart is Not in the Right Place.
Nathan is not he son of Linda Daschle. His Mother is ex-wife Laurie. Tom left the family when the youngest, a daughter was about 3 years old.
Daschle sinking?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Big Chief say that great earth spirit will return ancestors from happy hunting ground to cast ballot for great white chief "Little Weasel"....
Breaux is retiring. His is one of the seats the GOP hopes to snag this election.
I truly hope that President Bush makes a campaign stop in SD with Thune or even a few when he is 100% confident he will win. Late October would be ideal.
Kerry doesn't have coattails. He's got Anchor Chains.
