Cheats, liars, and media monopolies beware!

Too late, we've seen the man behind the curtain.

For years I walked the streets of Manhattan frustrated by the daily headlines in the New York Times screaming from the newspaper stands. I used to rail to myself like a drunken vagrant about how absolutely biased the headline wording and placement were. Little did I know, I wasn't alone in my suspicions

What an absolute feeling of relief to see the MSM getting it's asses handed to them.

A loss experience involves the following five stages of emotional response: (1) denial, (2) bargaining, (3) anger, (4) despair, (5) acceptance

For those of you keeping track at home, this is the 5-stage process for Dan Rather and CBS, as they deal with their loss of credibility over memogate.

Right now, Dan's at stage 1. His willingness to compromise on some issues relating to the memos' authenticity shows he's moving to stage 2. I'm sure his move through stages 3 and 4 will not be shared with the public, with the exception of a possible on-air outburst against "the right-wing internet crazies" or something similar.

Finally, Dan will get to stage 5, and retire.

"...oblivious to the magnanimity of his error..."

Wow! Norm Crosby's writing under a pseudonym! I'm really pleased somebody had the magnitude to give him a shot at this!

The effect of media bias is to disenfranchise me. The biased report is presented with the intention, conscious or unconscious, of changing votes. When it suceeds in changing even one vote, it disenfranchises me.

If I were black or Indian or a card carrying member of an otherwise sanctified group, the force of law would be applied relentlessly to redress my franchise. But conservatives are not a group which is recognized by the law. So the government will provide no relief. It is idle to expect the author of the disenfrancisement, the very media which published the bias and delights in my disenfranchisement, to act to save my vote.

Consider a fraudulent document, purporting to be of federal government provenance, which libels Jesse Jackson. One can only imagine the sturm and drang from the media and the energy of the Department of Justice. But, alas, our President is a white conservative Texan. I am surprised that there is not a bounty on him.

The stranglehold on the news by the liberal MSM is finally over. Kind of like removing a stone in your shoe that's been there 30 years - it feels great!

Clio has a particularly diabolical punishment for people like Dan Rather.

What is Sen. Kerry HIDING in his 3.5 years of military records of which he's RELEASED SIX PAGES of? In 3.5 years of Naval Reserve service the paper trail is MORE than SIX MEASLY PAGES!

As in the case of John Kerry, most of Rather's wounds were self-inflicted. No purple heart for Mr. Rather.

Remember this line:

"We got Rush Limbaugh, Hannity is next."

Spoken by Ed Asner. A member of the Arrogant Elite Media (AEM - Just thought that one up).

At any rate, it shows that the AEM showed up at a tank battle with spitballs. In their arsenal are the mostly discredited and seldom viewed or read Main Stream Media.

However, the AEM has failed to notice that a straight and true new channel has been dug that bypasses the biased boulders of their babbling brook. The combined viewing numbers for nightly news of the three major networks is now lower than any one of the three 15 years ago. Readers for daily newspapers has also shrunk to levels that hardly justify the trouble to advertise in them. And advertisers are now suing major newspapers over false circulation figures.

It has been said that the television news at the evening dinnertime spelled doom for the evening newspaper. Now it can be stated unequivocally that Al Gore's great invention, the internet, has spelled doom for the AEM. And like some landed gentry of the Industrial Revolution, they find themselves looking at barren fields wondering where their serfs have gone and why they weren't happy with the slanted slop at supper.
