DNC TO LAUNCH FRESH ATTACK ON BUSH GUARD DUTY: WILL RAISE QUESTIONS ABOUT 1978 CAMPAIGN LIT
**Exclusive**
Faster than a CBS eye can blink, dogged Dems are set to take to the airwaves anew hoping to keep questions about President Bush's National Guard duty in play, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
Candidate Kerry apparently has rejected former President Clinton's advice not to get further locked in a 2004 Vietnam quagmire.
"George W. Bush's campaign literature claimed that he 'served in the U.S. Air Force.' The only problem? He didn't," slams a new DNC press release set for distribution.
Dems will attempt to increase the heat on Bush ahead of his planned Tuesday address before The National Guard Association gathering in Las Vegas.
In 2000, Bush opened his National Guard Association speech: "General, I am reporting for duty."
MORE
Kerry plans to speak to the group on Thursday, but he personally hold back questioning Bush's service, sources explain.
The coordinated nationwide effort this week by the DNC has been code-named "Project Fortunate Son."
"George Bush has a clear pattern of lying about his military service," DNC Communications Director Jano Cabrera blasts in the new release. "From 1978 to the present day, George Bush has refused to tell voters the truth about his service. It's time for the President to come clean."
"Flyers distributed to Texas voters during Bush's failed Congressional race say 'he served in the U.S. Air Force and the Texas Air National Guard.' But according to Air Force officials, Air National Guardsmen are not counted as members of the active-duty Air Force."

On another thread http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1214251/posts, they found in his enlistment papers a copy of his dd214, and voila, here it is!!

Cabrera is a graduate of Pomona College? How many times did he vote per election while a student? Poor Jano had better start thinking about how to fall on his sword when this blows up in his face.

GOTTA AGREE WITH YOU. I missed the Ref on the Air Force Manual citation. Why not send your statement with a few of the related posts hereto FOX? Shows the ANG became part of the USAF in 1947, so BUSH didn't lie and it is also logical that the agency furnishing quarters, ANG, would be the governing manual.
I sent some of my stuff to FOX. Why not send your to FOX and CBS, see if they flip flop. I think it will go a long way to destroying John F (as in F is for worse than Wrong)Kerry.
I am really enjoying this stuff!

Kerry has no message thats why they keep doing this.
Most people would think that Bush in the NG only went to weekend drills once a month. With this opening, we can now put out the message that Bush served on active duty FULL TIME for 2 years. He even volunteered to go to Vietnam 2 times while in the NG.

Gay as an Ungaro spring frock. Thanks for the laugh, I really needed it after reading these posts.
I want to just yell STOP THE INSANITY and get on with what is really important. People might not agree, but I think that Pres. Bush should just start plastering the media with ads showing The Towers and other pictures of 911 and pictures of the hostage tragedy in Russsia and then ask the people which is the more important issue. If we are all dead the best health care in the world will be of no use.

Notice his service file number?
That should settle any questions.

I predict that his numbers will be in the mid 30s within a few weeks and the DNC will want to replace him and Edwards with a new team to include the one who shall not be named. No, I cannot go that far. Hillary will not be on the ticket in any form. There is not a single Democrat alive who can beat Bush on the Terror issue this year. And that is the deciding issue. The last nails in Kerry's coffin will be the good employment numbers next month.

THIS JUST IN!
Democrats to charge George W. Bush with missing two days of school during fourth grade. Bush brought a note from his doctor claiming to have been suffering from the flu. However, documents recently obtained by the Democratic National Committee and the John Kerry Campaign indicate that the doctor in question was not a specialist in the field, but a mere general practitioner. Anonymous sources, regarded as credible by CBS News, indicate that young George was playing hookey to avoid a spelling test. In a press release regarding this incident, Senator Tom Harkin wrote: "It is shokking that a future president of the unnited states would behaeve in such a disonnorable manner."

Kerry was in the Senate on occasion. His personal seat on the back bench has the imprint of his large and fraudulent behind.

Although the Air National Guard was not established as a separate component of the U.S. Air Force until 1947, National Guard aviators have played significant roles in all of America's wars and most of its major contingencies since the beginning of the 20th Century. Visit the pages on this history site to explore the heritage of American flight... as seen through the deeds of minutemen.

What should we be doing as the MSM, Kitty Kelly and the Kerry people launch this offensive??

There has been a lot of realignment of training bases since then, but the answer may be in that chronological assignment page of his records.

I know that I am out on the farthest tip of the limb. McAuliffe / Clinton would rather (excuse that word, please) have Bush win. If Kerry won, Hillary would never see the inside of the WH again.
If Kerry goes away -- a la Toricelli -- the Dems would do better with just about ANYONE else on the ticket including Hillary. I'm looking for her in the 2nd position just to innoculate her if (when) they lose. She won't be blamed for a lose in the VP slot.

2 helpful additions:
1) DemocRAT caricatures (Begala, Carville, Hillary, etc.)
swimming away from the sinking ship
2) Kerry and Edwards (as Gilligan & Skipper) looking out
of a top window
3) Instead of anchor, use Communist Hammer & Sickle
