DNC TO LAUNCH FRESH ATTACK ON BUSH GUARD DUTY:  WILL RAISE QUESTIONS ABOUT 1978 CAMPAIGN LIT

**Exclusive**

Faster than a CBS eye can blink, dogged Dems are set to take to the airwaves anew hoping to keep questions about President Bush's National Guard duty in play, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

Candidate Kerry apparently has rejected former President Clinton's advice not to get further locked in a 2004 Vietnam quagmire.

"George W. Bush's campaign literature claimed that he 'served in the U.S. Air Force.' The only problem? He didn't,"  slams a new DNC press release set for distribution.

Dems will attempt to increase the heat on Bush ahead of his planned Tuesday address before The National Guard Association gathering in Las Vegas.

In 2000, Bush opened his National Guard Association speech: "General, I am reporting for duty."

Kerry plans to speak to the group on Thursday, but he personally hold back questioning Bush's service, sources explain.

The coordinated nationwide effort this week by the DNC has been code-named "Project Fortunate Son."

"George Bush has a clear pattern of lying about his military service," DNC Communications Director Jano Cabrera blasts in the new release. "From 1978 to the present day, George Bush has refused to tell voters the truth about his service. It's time for the President to come clean."

"Flyers distributed to Texas voters during Bush's failed Congressional race say 'he served in the U.S. Air Force and the Texas Air National Guard.' But according to Air Force officials, Air National Guardsmen are not counted as members of the active-duty Air Force."

Mike:

I KNOW how you feel. I thank God every day we have a Commander In Chief that respects our men and women in uniform. Even now at my age (61), I would gladly serve under President Bush.

The vast majority of our country respects our military and prays for each and every one of you every day. WE ARE PROUD OF YOU!!!

Not to worry 1st Sgt. the lies that the DNC and the Kerry campaign are spreading WILL NOT STAND!!!

SO How do we get this discrediting info to the media, at least fox.

The DNC attack is dead before it starts.

The media needs this information to "look smart" in the face of DNC surrogates.

We could start a thread on Kerry's sleep walking alone.

I have raised this several times, but no-one seems to care

Do we really want a delusional sleepwalker in posseion of the Nuclear Football?

Exactly!

And how many people do you think know that Kerry was actually in the reserves, not the Navy, per se?

Is this the big bombshell?

They have even scoured garage sales buying up old typewriters and are actively looking for someone who actually knows how to use them.

Except that Killian apparently didn't know how to use one.

Who has the CBS docs in full? I think there is a reference in them to Bush being in the USAF/TexasANG.

URL anyone?

LOL, do they think the Texas Guard trains fighter pilots? He trained to fly jets in the Air Force for TWO YEARS. Was Kerry in the Navy? Or, the Naval Reserve? It's a distinction without a difference.

Is that all you got Dems?

My point was the flyer was not a mistake and that was established long ago when this was dragged out.

Hi Mike; I was trying to remember your handle earlier to ping you. Your better half was a great FR supporter of our troops while you were over there. My regards to her.

Thanks for your prayers for my son.

Can you believe these idiots know so little about the military? This is on a par with the numbnutz who were worried about Pres. Bush wearing a unit citation.....it was obvious they had no idea what a unit citation was....thought it was some kind of MOH. LOL!

"It's their skill at "framing." "

It's their skill letting Kerry do what Kerry want to do.

And that he was in the Reserves while an antiwar activist.

Talk about a "fortunate son". He likely would have been court martialed for his antics as both a Swiftie and an antiwar activist if not for his father, family political connections and the laudatory coverage by the media during the time.

If there was ever a fortunate son, it is John Kerry.

"public has a right to know"

Yes they do .. and along with his voting record in the Senate, this needs to be fully exposed.

If I can help search .. let me know .. I'll try looking through my documents again and see if I can find the info. The person who posted the info had the name of the magazine and the date of the article. I still think I saved it, but I just can't find it.

See my post and link therein at #308.

The dems are resurrecting yet an issue that was raised and settled back in 1999.

Now there's a good question:

How EXACTLY did John Kerry get into the Naval Reserves?????

Holy COW! Not in the Air Force?????!!!!!!

This offends me beyond ALL belief. My father served in the Georgia ANG, Ohio ANG and Oklahoma ANG. Does this mean he was not a member of the Air Force?

"I haven't read the whole thread but does anyone have access to any of President Bush's military records from his first two years - basic training, flight training and advanced fighter training? I'll bet they are U.S. Air Force orders, not TANG orders."

I think Buckhead only delivers after midnight (lol!). But if these documents are available, they will find them.

The idea of crushing a DNC slime op before SeeBS can even jerk it out of the fax machine is amazing...
