Another SO WHAT, even if it's true.
If they can dig up one campaign brochure that had mistaken the Air Force for the Guard, do we think the American people can excuse George W? Gimme a break!

P.S. I'm still waiting for the Swift Boats Ads to tell America about JFKerry meeting with the enemy in Paris.
So what is THIS all about?
Why would we do that?
As I pointed out upthread, this was gone over in 1999 and settled.
I certainly will not "assume the 'worst'".
get a load of this report:
Framing the debate: It's all GOP
By George Lakoff | September 12, 2004
How do Republicans continually frustrate Democrats, keeping them on the defensive? It's not just their media control (Fox News, Clear Channel, etc.), it's not just the $2 billion they've put into think tanks over the past 30 years, and it's not just lies and dirty tricks. It's their skill at "framing."

Media control? HUH????? Who the FILK are they kidding?
He was active duty for training. There is no such thing as active duty without being in an active duty unit.
It's that simple.
As a basic training chaplain, we had those from the national guard who received their training in the 1/46 Inf Bn, 1st Training Bde.
Both of those were units listed in the active U.S. Army organizational lists.
Further example....my son is with the National Guard. They have been activated for Iraq and he currently is serving there. His unit has been attached to the 1st Inf Div.
What unit patch does he wear.... National Guard?
Nope. 1st Inf Div.
In light of news on Drudge that the DNC may try to imply that the President was wrong when he claimed that he served in the Air Force and Air National Guard...
I thought I would post the following. I realize that the DNC is playing with words and saying that they are not part of the ACTIVE-DUTY AF, in hopes that people will not catch it, but still.
The Following indicates that the ANG is part of the USAF-
http://www.goang.com
Bottom of the opening page of the web address-
-The Air National Guard is a vital part of the US Air Force.
http://www.af.mil/bios/bio.asp?bioID=6942
Bio of Sec. of the AF
"In this role, he is responsible for the affairs of the Department of the Air Force, including the organizing, training, equipping, and providing for the welfare of its nearly 370,000 men and women on active duty, 180,000 members of the Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserve, 160,000 civilians, and their families"
http://www.af.mil/bios/bio.asp?bioID=5986
Bio of Chief of Staff, USAF
"Gen. John P. Jumper is Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C. As Chief, he serves as the senior uniformed Air Force officer responsible for the organization, training and equipage of more than 700,000 active-duty, Guard, Reserve and civilian forces serving in the United States and overseas."
1) It keeps the focus on President Bush and his National Guard duty, as opposed to Kerry's fraudulant Vietnam duty.
2) More importantly, it keeps the focus off of Kerry and his 20 year Senate voting record!
As long as the spotlight is off of Kerry and his abismal record the less the American voting public will know about him and can thus be duped into voting for Kerry over the "evil Bush."
Like I said, the RNC had better not fall for this, they need to keep their eyes on the prize and keep the pressure up on attacking Kerry where it hurts, his Senate record and his consistent votes to gut the millitary.
Kerry has learned.
The MSM will support any lie Kerry states about Bush.
Kerry learned he can say anything and Democrats will believe him without thought. Only republicans question their own.
Cabrera looks like the consumate Girly Man
Pat Caddell who was on a roll yesterday called Harkin out. Cadell worked on a Harkin campaign where Harkin got himself into trouble for claiming he flew combat missions when what he flew was anything but.
I haven't read the whole thread but does anyone have access to any of President Bush's military records from his first two years - basic training, flight training and advanced fighter training?
I'll bet they are U.S. Air Force orders, not TANG orders.
You're so right "the only ones buying this tripe are those in the DNC camp".
That's one of the major mistakes they make. They assume we are just like THEIR sheep and we're not.
Just as the Naval Reserve is part of the Navy, which Kerry claimed to serve in..
So what's their point?
And who cares?
Is this the best Begala and Carville can come up with?
We could start a thread on Kerry's sleep walking alone.
The MSM would never cover the story, perhaps Rush or Hanity could adress this.
Seriously, the public has a right to know if the potential CnC has a sleepwalking and screaming like a maniac problem.
The Denver dates show that he did the make up drills (if there were any) that the Globe said he owed.
They mentioned a documents signed in 1973.
I think they misrepresented it...but they say it cites that he was to find a unit when he left Texas and complete any owed drill time.
CNN HAD A GENERAL ON THE OTHER DAY THAT MENTIONED THAT BUSH DID HIS DRILL TIME IN COLORADO AFTER HE LEFT TEXAS
(refering to make up drills )
The Globe was busy looking for records from Mass. It seems the dropped the ball.
Thge Dems are going on the offensive to defend against attacks against Kerry's military record and antiwar activities. It is a diversion.
Exactly, Im ILARNG was assigned to 12th AVN BDE at Camp Anaconda, Balad, Iraq, I wear their patch...btw tell your son God Speed...Mike1sg
You are absolutely right. Worst case scenario (the 99 flier was a mistake) makes NO difference. But we won't get to the worst case. The public won't care. The Dems are going to look like idiots saying "Bush lied" when they are pushing forged documents.
Kerry was in the Senate?
What is this about?
