DNC TO LAUNCH FRESH ATTACK ON BUSH GUARD DUTY:  WILL RAISE QUESTIONS ABOUT 1978 CAMPAIGN LIT

**Exclusive**

Faster than a CBS eye can blink, dogged Dems are set to take to the airwaves anew hoping to keep questions about President Bush's National Guard duty in play, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

Candidate Kerry apparently has rejected former President Clinton's advice not to get further locked in a 2004 Vietnam quagmire.

"George W. Bush's campaign literature claimed that he 'served in the U.S. Air Force.' The only problem? He didn't,"  slams a new DNC press release set for distribution.

Dems will attempt to increase the heat on Bush ahead of his planned Tuesday address before The National Guard Association gathering in Las Vegas.

In 2000, Bush opened his National Guard Association speech: "General, I am reporting for duty."

MORE

Kerry plans to speak to the group on Thursday, but he personally hold back questioning Bush's service, sources explain.

The coordinated nationwide effort this week by the DNC has been code-named "Project Fortunate Son."

"George Bush has a clear pattern of lying about his military service," DNC Communications Director Jano Cabrera blasts in the new release. "From 1978 to the present day, George Bush has refused to tell voters the truth about his service. It's time for the President to come clean."

"Flyers distributed to Texas voters during Bush's failed Congressional race say 'he served in the U.S. Air Force and the Texas Air National Guard.' But according to Air Force officials, Air National Guardsmen are not counted as members of the active-duty Air Force."

FNC saying it is based on newweeks analysis of missing drills.

Okay, the way I understand it, he did miss some drills, which he made up later.

Is my understanding correct?

Notice theysaid active-duty air force.

HOW STUPID ARE THE FOLKS AT THE DNC. The ANG is part of the Air Force.

ALSO- Kerry was in the Navy Reserve...that's not part of the active duty Navy.

DOES NOT MATTER....BUSH DID SERVE IN THE ACTIVE DUTY AIR FORCE.

HIS TIME AT LACKLAND for BASIC MIT....AND HIS TIME IN FLIGHT SCHOOL IS TRAINING AND DUTY TIME IN THE AIR FORCE.

ALSO....THAT IS ACTIVE DUTY TIME.

1) These continuing efforts by the DNC and their willing allies in the press to create an issue involving the President's Air National Guard service will only blow up in their faces. Reasonable people, particularly in light of the CBS scandal, will recognize this as nothing more then efforts to "create" an issue out of nothing.

2) The situation will only worsen for the attack dogs because the White House will continue to ignore their efforts.

3) Unlike Kerry's late response to the Swift Boat vets, the lack of a White House response to fabricated BS will not impact the President. In Kerry's case, he not only invited the scrutiny of his record, he (again) trashed the Vietnam vets while trying to cover up his anti-war activities.

It is getting difficult for the Kerry campaign to bust through their own swill to get a message out there. They are pathetic and this will go down as the most lame campaign for President since at least Mondale and possibly McGovern.

Gee, I did not know that Kerry had a message. Could someone please explain Kerry's message so we will all understand?

How is this different from Senator Sleazeball always speakng about "volunteering" for the Navy. He has *never* said that it was actually the Naval RESERVE? That needs to be corrected.

Kerry can't prove he did a single thing FOR vets at home as a senator. NOT one piece of legislation.

He only wanted to take money (food) from the soldiers.

Bush was enlisted before he was discharged and commissioned in the guard.

Interesting. I just can't believe Kerry will go with this. But then I thought Kerry would address the Swift Boat stuff at the Veterens event, and make a statement that he said many things that he regrets, fess up to his Cambodia lies, and make a clean break, but he didn't. If he had, and it were skillfully delivered, he would still be in the hunt, as a confessed sinner. Americans love confessed sinners (most more than I do; I ain't a New Testament kind of guy). I guess Kerry just likes slowly bleeding to death.

I need your help,or any other freepers help.

I thought GWB signed HIS SF-180.

If he did, the next reporter who asks Scott McClellan(sp?)about GWB's guard service, should IMMEDIATELY pull out about 100 copies, and say as they are distributed to the press:

"Unlike Sen. Kerry, President Bush has signed HIS SF-180, and here is the documentation. The SF-180 form authorizes the US military to release ALL of the military records of the person who signs the form. These records have been released to the public. Sen.Kerry has NOT signed HIS SF-180, thus creating some of the controversies surrounding his service made by various groups. All Sen. Kerry has to do is SIGN HIS 180, have the remaining 100 pages or so released to the public, and we can then put these 527's to rest on that issue, and get down to the OTHER more important issues that need to be discussed in this 2004 upcoming Presidential election"....

THAT would put Kerry BACK on the defensive. When he and EVERY KERRY TALKING HEAD is asked to show HIS SF-180, AND CAN NOT, maybe someone will ask him WHY NOT ???...GWB has signed HIS.

Why are they wasting their time on this? Even DU has to realize if they think this is going anywhere, they truly are desperate.

Man, the Dems want to keep bringinng this up... yet again?

The thing is if CBS turns up some perfect memos that no one can prove to be forgeries, it does not matter what is in them. They flashed their credibility quotient up on the screen for all to see and it doesn't matter what they come up with now or at the end of October.

First of all, I haven't watched CBS in ages and as far as the boycott goes, Why would you want to boycott Home Depot. They are big supporters of our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan
