This is designed to make voters over saturated with Vietnam era jousting and TV advertising. This is designed to reduce any impact the Swift Boat Vets have which is the DNC real goal. Swifties have a large war chest now (7 million) and are ready to rock
This is another sign how scared sh*tless they are of the Swift Vets. Swift Vets bring Kerry and 'cRATS bad juju and start John Kerry's tailspin. They are spooked to death of the Swifties.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Details in a 1963 accident report say that Laura Bush, then 17, ran a stop sign in the Texas crash that killed a friend in another car. The report, adding information to previous reports of the crash, was released to The Associated Press on Wednesday.
Mrs. Bush now is the wife of Republican presidential nominee-to-be George W. Bush, the Texas governor.
''It was a very tragic accident that deeply affected the families and was very painful for all involved, including the community at large,'' said Mrs. Bush's spokesman, Andrew Malcolm. ''To this day, Mrs. Bush remains unable to talk about it.''
She did say in March, when asked at a campaign stop about the crash, ''I know this as an adult, and even more as a parent, it was crushing ... for the family involved and for me as well.''
There had been published accounts of the accident, but city officials had declined to release the records because those involved were under 18. The police report was released Wednesday in response to an open-records request that was submitted to Midland officials in March.
According to the two-page accident report, Laura Welch was driving her Chevrolet sedan on a clear night shortly after 8 p.m. on Nov. 6, 1963, when she drove into an intersection and struck a Corvair sedan driven by 17-year-old Michael Douglas.
Although previous news accounts have reported Douglas was thrown from the car and broke his neck, those details were not in the report.
The speed of Laura Bush's car was illegible on the report. The speed limit for the road was 55.
Laura Bush and her passenger, Judy Dykes, also 17, were taken to a hospital and treated for minor injuries, according to an accident account printed at the time in the Midland Reporter-Telegram.
The police report indicates no charges were filed. That section of the report was left blank.
''As far as we know, no charges were filed,'' said Midland city attorney Keith Stretcher. ''I don't think it's unusual that charges weren't filed.''
Let them rant and rave. This issue has been so beaten to death that people just don't care anymore. The only folks that more mud about Bush's time in the TXAFNG will affect or those folks who already plan to vote for Kerry and need some "goofy" form of justification to do so. If it wasn't the NG stuff, they would find another reason. Plain truth is that very few of the people voting for Kerry really want him...they just refuse to see the only logical/reasonable thing to do is vote for President Bush - a man who has proven himself as C&C - is he perfect - well of course not. However, I can't name anyone that could do a better job or for that matter anyone who could have done as good a job.
Bottom line, Kerry supporters aren't Kerry supporters, they have some idealogical or vested reason why the abhore Bush. They need some justification for their hate - no matter how flimsly.
Everyone else, Bush supporters, or the neutral - don't really see this as an issue. Except that Bush supporters like myself don't like for a MSM using forged documents to bolster questionable denigration.
This is good. Every day that goes by that Kerry is not on message is one less day he has to turn around the momemtum. This issue will not hurt Bush, it will just keep Kerry from getting any traction on setting forth a plan he can sell.
Lets concede ....Kerry can be in the Texas Air National Guard if he wants
The amazing thing these are the same crazies who defended Clinton for draft dodging and marching in the streets of Russia!
>>Landslide.<<
Yup...it doesn't pass the smell test. Most folks will sniff it out.
Don't underestimate the DNCs ability to misjudge the public. They'll shovel shiznit forever yet not understand that the public sees it.
The Swifties are far from over with their mission.
"Ask any Guardsman the answer to this question."
I spent 12 years reg USAF and I'm sure the DUmmie's position would surprise the hell out of all the FANGs I worked with...:-)

I think I heard something like that in 2000, but it didn't go anywhere.
Did they buy and old typwriter this time?....
For all of McGovern's faults, he was a class act. I never knew of McGovern's impressive war record in WW2 until recently. He never once to my knowledge brought it up during the 72 campaign.

Hillary must have found a typewriter in her basement.
Dam I'm convinced.
Goodness!!
Even good Ol' Bill Snyder(*spelling?)on Inside Politics said that the Kerry Campaign needs to get away from attacks on this issue and stop the personal attack regarding Bush. He said that Bush has been the president for four years and he has either proven that he a strong leader to voters or he hasn't.
Bill Snyder also said that polls show Bush has very high numbers in the polls on the "leadership issue" therefore the sKerry campaign needs to focus more on Bush's record in office and on issues.
In other words the DNC is wasting their time on this NG stuff.
Questioning Bush's NG record as if to suggest Bush will be a weak Commander In Chief just does not make sense to me either. What is the point to this. What is the strategy!
I wonder if the nit wits at the DNC are doing this just to get even for the Swifties, and their need for revenge is blinding their good judgement.
Harping on this NG stuff is INSANE!
I hope they keep this up until November 2nd frankly!
