Authentic or not, Bush memos no big deal to retired guardsmen
U.S. Servicemen React to Bush Guard Memos (spreading the lie)
Allegations of suspect conduct during the Vietnam war also have been leveled at John Kerry, who won three Purple Hearts, a Silver Star and a Bronze Star in Vietnam.
A group sponsoring television ads challenging his wartime record contends Kerry's own gunfire caused the wound that brought his first Purple Heart. Navy records and other veterans do not support the charge.
Ahmad Majied of Albany (GA) says the latest allegations about Bush's military record are more troubling to him than allegations about service honors leveled at Democratic challenger Kerry.
Majied, a Democrat from Albany who served 30 years in the Navy, including five years as a SEAL in Vietnam, said the memos support his belief that Bush was a "playboy" during his service years.
"He had enough money to get what he wanted," Majied said. "I think his main concern was not to go to Southeast Asia. I bet he never dreamed it would come back to haunt him."

NOT A SEAL
Thanks for checking with us - we greatly appreciate your interest in upholding the honor of the US Navy SEAL Teams, and your search for the TRUTH. If the name you provided was "spelled accurately", we do NOT have a listing for anyone named "Majied" in our entire database of slightly more than 10,000 names. Unless he has undertaken the unlikely action of a full legal name change since his claimed service with the SEAL Teams, I can state conclusively that the man NEVER completed SEAL training, and thus he is not now, nor was he ever a Navy SEAL. While there are other training steps that must be completed on the path to becoming a SEAL, BUD/S training is the first and most vital, and that training course is totally unclassified. Without having first completed BUD/S training, a man cannot go on to become a SEAL. There are definitely secret SEAL missions, but despite anything the man might have said, there are NO secret SEALs. If you choose to confront the man regarding his fraudulent SEAL claims, please show him this email message and invite him to contact me - a real SEAL - directly by email with information that will support his claims. I'd enjoy hearing his stories first hand, but I've extended this offer to literally thousands of individuals over the last three years, and in all that time I've received only a scant handful of replies, so I don't really expect to hear from him either.
Again, please visit our web page www.authentiseal.org/realitycheck.htm for some very specific information related to the realities of SEAL training, SEAL duties, and the claims most often made by SEAL imposters.
Thank you again for your assistance in upholding the honor of the US Navy SEAL Teams.
Respectfully, Gregory Platt

AP sucks....liar liar liar tail on fire!!!
As I said on one of the CBS posts: The MSM has forgotten the golden rule for rats ....... "swim away from sinking ships or you'll go down with them".
Oh yeah...and I worked at NASA as a rocket scientist from 1979-1981...under an assumed name....well...I was only 16 at the time...but they took me on account of my graduation from Stanford in a year and a half.....and......
sarcasm/
Good one!
sounds like Geragross defense statements how his client could not have done it when those aliens had him tied up and gagged....gag me !
Yes, both AuthentiSEAL and VeriSEAL investigate suspicious claims of SEAL service. I'm not familiar with Cyberseals.
Hello everyone,
I stumbled onto this thread this morning off of the link from the Torpedoman's Association guestbook....I've been looking into this issue as well since I read the article on Saturday, and was thrilled to see all of the posts about it here. I spoke to Mr. Majied this evening, and contacted the AP reporter by email who wrote the story. Mr. Majied told me he was NOT a SEAL, but did work WITH SEALs, which as best I can tell from reading the threads here, he hadn't said prior. I asked him if he'd like me to recount our conversation for others so that the full story comes out, and he said yes.
I've put the whole chronology of what I found online, including the great posts here, into an article for my blog.....the URL is:

I disagree with you.
You said:
"From the information discovered on the FreeRepublic message boards, he seems to be a leader in the Albany, GA community, and no community can afford to lose any civic leader who is dedicated to improving his region, if that's what he's done."
The man either lied to you or lied to the other Freeper and the reporters. He said things about Bush that weren't true and attempted to give more credence to his words by claiming to be a Navy seal.
He should be made to apologize for his actions. We don't need more civic leaders that lie. We need more that own up to their lies.
At this point, I even wonder if he was in the service at all. I hope others follow up on this story. The man needs to come clean. We don't need people like this running around making false claims.
Poster 469 says that he talked with Ahmad Majied tonight and he admitted that he had not been a Navy Seal.
If this is true, then we need to get the AP to retract their story.
I know I'm not going to be happy until they do. I'm tired of these lies.
Fair enough point. Can't say I really disagree with you, and I did write that there should be consquences for words and actions, as well as shame if he has lied about it.
Thanks,
John
Thank you for your site and your efforts regarding our nation and the peril we are in. Thank you for your integrity and honesty. I will point quite a few people your way.
Here's a couple of other sites you may find of interest:

Trav had this guy nailed from the get go. Too bad he felt he had to try and pass himself off as something he was not.

I agree. AP needs to retract the fake SEAL's words. I'd also like more info on his fallback position about working "with" SEALs.
As what? A cook? Driver? What? Working "with" SEALs is just the lie they move to when they are trapped. I'll bet he never put a foot in Viet Nam.
It's not over, his "working with SEALs, not a SEAL" is not a full retraction, just a fallback lie.
Stay safe !
It'll all unfold now.
Which ARG?...when?...where?...etc., etc.
