You may be a Kerry suporter if:

You may be a Kerry supporter if . . .

With the joyful experiences of summer vacations fading into pleasant memories, and commuters once again immersed in the fragrant exhaust of school buses, political banter intensifies while the nation finally focuses on electing a commander in chief.

But there's a peculiar tone to the banter of my anti-Bush friends, who can barely conceal their resentment at the Clouseaulike caricature they feel compelled to support. They know John Kerry is a political strawman, a second-rate politico who was in the left place at the right time. So, little or nothing is offered about his specific qualifications, accomplishments, experience, temperament and (especially) personality.

And/or your name is "Jockey."

Well, if you ask the liberals whose company wrecked last night for me, they're nothing but intellect. They spent the entire time congratulating themselves for how smart they are. And a few others of them showed visible signs of condescension when they asked where my husband went to college and he replied that he hadn't been to college. So they couldn't even condescend to talk to someone who wasn't an enlightened intellectual, but they themselves were the most moronic, pompous, self-aggrandizing fools I have ever eaten a meal with. Needless to say, I will never dine with such jerks again.

Generally, you have two classes of liberals. The unwashed hippie peaceniks who can barely read, and the Stanford-educated liberals who think they know what's best for the "working man," despite the fact that they grew up in a mansion and can't bring themselves to talk to a "working man" who wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

And they really can't figure me out, because I'm an anti-intellectual intellectual. It's not that I can't talk about philosophy and the complexities of protein structure, it's that I don't care to waste my free time on it, when I spend enough time studying already. They think I must have been possessed to marry so far beneath me, despite the fact that my husband is a better and braver and much more caring man than any of them could know.

What a bunch of utter fools. Screw them all.

If you think Tom Harkin should dictate farm policy, Edward Kennedy should run education policy, Al Gore should decide environmental policy, Patty Murray should decide what the Second Amendment means, Jocelyn Elders should teach us and our kids about birth control and sex education, Hillary Clinton should oversee health care policy, George Soros and the French should run American foreign policy, and if you think Michael Moore has the least acquaintance with the truth, you might be a John F'n Kerry supporter.

Unless we're lucky, and you're a Nader supporter instead, because you think all of the above are a bunch of rightwingers. If that's the case, say hello to Mao and Stalin for us when you get to hell.

You know, I think I've been giving liberals more credit than they're due in the case of intellect. I just don't want to believe that anyone could REALLY be as stupid as they continually show us they are. But they seem to prove my optimistic outlook for them wrong every time!

I don't think they're stupid, they're simply blinded by hate!

"A SUV-driving fence-sitter, in an unguarded moment, told me she wished the government would outlaw her ownership of an SUV."

A Canadian acquaintance of mine actually said that if she ruled the world she would outlaw SUVs. I asked her if that included the one she and her husband bought not even 6 months ago that she was PROUD of at the time!

Yep, total hypocrites. I guess they'll vote for Kerry because he's one of them.

Too bad they spoiled your evening. Time is too precious to waste with these sorts of people. Let them keep themselves company. That way they can go on agreeing and agreeing with each other. It's no wonder they don't have any comprehension about the stuff of life. They just don't get it, 'cause they never had to. I guess I pity them more than anything. Funny, but I guess they enjoy being pitied. How different from us they are.

Hey.. My autistic son rides a little bus to school and he knows better. He got mad at my dad last week and called him mean and a bunch of other things...then he did the topper- he called him a "DEMOCRAT." My dad turned to him and said "I may be a lot of things, but a Democrat I am not."

...if you are not only a Kool-Aid drinker yourself, but you make up the other Kool-Aid you expect your loyal but dumb followers to also drink, you are a Kerry supporter.

Scathing article. Pounds ole sKerry right between the eyes. And does it in a fair and balanced way.

(Newbie alert)

*You know, I think I've been giving liberals more credit than they're due in the case of intellect.*

Not so sure this is ontopic. But I read a local review ofr the "manturian canadate" written by a a typical liberal.

She actually said that Conservatives would see the Streep character as Hitlery due to the fact that they are not intellectually bright enough.

(Hooray for my first post)

"I just don't want to believe that anyone could REALLY be as stupid as they continually show us they are."

And with good reason, if they were really that stupid they would need 24 hour supervision by an adult. The fact is that they have simply made a decision at some point to suspend their reason and go along with the groupthink. The same phenomenon is visible in religion. How could anyone be truly as stupid as the muslim fanatics appear to be? They simply don't have the personal courage to stop the madness and use their own rational faculties. Stupid is permanent, this sort of thing is voluntary and can be terminated at will by the individual if so motivated. Almost everyone who insists on using his own brain has left the Democratic party and that is why they can no longer keep up a front of being anything other than what they are, collectivist nutcases.
