As we watch CBS implode and Dan Rath possibly planning a nice retirement on the island paradise of his commie pal, I am amazed at how the eye has been taken off the ball.
George Bush is not running for a first term. He is a proven commander in chief. He has been unwavering in taking it to the enemy that wants to end our way of life.
Did children of important people get special favors? Yes. They always do in every area of life. Could Lt. Bush have missed some of his meetings? Yes. Could they have made a special accommodation to let him out early? Yes. So what?
If all the things the RATS are saying are true, I am not very happy about it. In a utopian world, the son of a janitor in Brooklyn would have been given the same treatment. Things are not fair. That is life. It would have been better to completely fulfill his obligation. Had the military not phased-out the use of the F-102 in Vietnam, perhaps the special treatment Bush may have received would have had more significance.
John Kerry, on the other hand has a problem that is immense relative to the supposed problems of President Bush. To wit:
- George Bush did not personally write up phony reports to receive medals.
- George Bush did not use phony heroics to leave his comrades behind.
- George Bush did not falsely testify before the Senate and the world and proclaim American soldiers, his comrades, to be war criminals and baby killers.
- George Bush was not the cause of men being tortured because they would not admit to his false charges war crimes.
- George Bush did not cause American soldiers to be spit upon when they returned home.
- George Bush did not illegally negotiate with the enemy during time of war.
- George Bush is not refusing to release all of his records.
- George Bush did not attend a meeting in Kansas City and vote on whether to assassinate United States senators.
- George Bush did not speak in favor of a nuclear freeze.
- George Bush did not spend an entire career opposing our most important weapons systems.
- George Bush did not vote against Gulf I even though there was an absolute world coalition in favor of it.
- George Bush did not first vote YES and then NO when it came to given our troops the support they need.
- George Bush is not recognized as a war hero by the Vietnamese commies.
There is the military record, folks. Some missed meetings and special treatment? Maybe. Compare that to someone who can reasonably be called a traitor. This is like comparing an illegal left turn to vehicular manslaughter. They both violate the vehicle code, but there is no comparison. Even Dan Rath would recognize that fraud.
If we limited our choices for POTUS (or any other office for that matter)to people without blemish there would be no candidates on the ballot. People don't care about Bush's National Guard record! And he is not running on it! On the other hand, John Kerry is running on his...
( John Kerry DID write a book, called the 'New Soldier' [find at wintersoldier.com ]) A book he has tried to hide from Americans who want to know his ability to command our troops.
PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am still confused why the RATS have so badly miscalculated. This is their answer to the SwiftVets? As I pointed out, there is no comparison. People are beginning to understand that O'Neill and his group are not Republicans. This is payback to the man who turned against them and their country.
Darn, I should have included that. Thanks for adding it.
Ping!
DFU, you are 'on point' as always.
Thanks for taking the time to put in words what I have been thinking too. I thought I was alone on my island saying that the media is acting like GWB's 4 years as POTUS count for nothing. We know how he will respond in a crisis, the same CANNOT be said about Kerry. In fact his behavior during the campaign is worrisome when it comes to his ability to handle a crisis.
That sums it up right there. The reason allegations about Pres. Bush's past have no weight with voters is that after four years having him as President they know his character. In 2000 when his character was unknown, things like dui's and allegations of special treatment mattered. Now it's kerry who is the unknown. That is why any allegations regarding his lack of integrity or honesty are taken much more seriously by undecided voters.
Thanks for writing it all down for me. Copied, printed and placed in my car for the photocopier. Next time someone brings it up, I shall simply hand them this list.
Thanks again doug, you're one of the finest!
Thanks for the kind words.
George Bush shows up for work.
========================================
Before printing it, get out your IBM Selectric Composer and make a few change because of my typos ---
- George Bush was not the cause of men being tortured because they would not admit to his false charges war crimes. ( should be, charges of war crimes)
- George Bush did not first vote YES and then NO when it came to given our troops the support they need. (should be, came to giving our troops)
duly noted and corrected, thanks doug, I caught the first one, but not the second
thanks again
This is what I've been saying to anyone who will listen, even emailing talk show hosts who don't seem to understand this principle. President Bush NOT a first termer. He does not need further vetting.
Plus...We already know he is a very capable CIC, and that should count as military service, so he has added almost four more years, with his term as President.
AND has showed up every day!!!
The RATS have made a big deal about how the President's family had influence which allowed him to jump ahead of HUNDREDS of others to get in the National Guard. If he had been trying to get into the ARMY national guard that might have been true, however, George W. Bush applied to the AIR National Guard which only had a few men on the list because the requirements were such that only a few were able to qualify. This has been verified by others who also got into the Air National Guard at the same time.
Meanwhile Congressional records show that Kerry can barely manage to show up at all with one of the highest absenteeism rates in the Congress.
They see the chances to take power slipping away and they are desperate. Desperate people do desperate things...
