It is important to extend the scope of the charges to the CBS affiliate station managers who actually broadcast the forged documents.

The stations actually own and operate the transmitters using the public airways to propagate the fraud of the forged documents.

I called my local Atlanta affiliate this morning. I asked if they supported Dan Rather. The young man on the phone enthusiastically answer yes. They stand by Dan Rather and support him. He then laughed.

I wrote a scathing letter to the News Director and the Sales Manager. I don't expect to hear back but I think I'll send them a copy of this.

Now, if you get the information requested within the two week window and it further supports the contention that the memo's were forged, you will need resources to pursue this matter because, acting alone, CBS will steamroll or ignore you.
I recommend that you then contact a Republican 527 to take up the cause and go through them to apply the heat to Dan's feet. They have the money and media savvy to get the needed publicity for your findings - and results. Good luck!

We don't know that those personal records necessarily were ever under the control of Killian's widow and son. A woman who was appointed Gary's Guardian in 1970 also was Jerry's Probate applicant in 1984.
