September 11 (Kerry Campaign clarifies It's Position on Terrorism)
John Kerry's blog ^ | September 11, 2004 | John F. Kerry

Posted on 09/11/2004 9:30:28 AM PDT by bigeasy_70118

I realize there has been a real lack of clarity to my positions with respect to national security issues. Therefore on the third anniversary of September 11, let me make one thing and one thing clear. I am against terrorism.

In my administration, terrorists who commit acts on U.S. soil, will be brought to justice and they WILL be tried in a court of law and convicted. I cannot emphasize this enough. Under my leadership, the U.S. Department of Justice will never relent in prosecuting terrorists. They will aggressively meet the burdens of proof and will obtain convictions in as many cases as possible. The convicted terrorists will then be sent to general population in a maximum security federal penitiary (I think that means no catered meals) and my justice department will opppose every request for parole until the terrorists serve their entire sentence.

Let me say this to Osama bin Laden: When I am elected President, you will be brought to justice. You will be sleeping on clean sheets, in a clean prison uniform and be fed three non catered meals a day. You will only have limited access to the internet. You will only have three hours a day for exercise and you will get only the minimum amount of kidney dialysis necessary under the Geneva Convention.

George Bush would rather Osama bin Laden be crawled up in a cave somewhere in Pakistan. I want him in an American prison. I want to see him do the perp walk. And I will never stop prosecuting terrorists within the guidlines set forth in the Bill of Rights and subsequent case law.

Pardon me while I soil this blog.

Kerry was a signer of the“People’s Peace Treaty.” A “people’s” declaration to end the war, drawnup in communist East Germany. It included nine points, all of which were taken from VietCong peace proposals at the Paris peace talks as conditions for ending the war

I'm John Kerry. Let me make this very clear. No matter what I said yesterday or last week or last month or last year, no matter what I say tomorrow (which will be different from what I say next week), I want everyone to understand, in CLEAR terms that I have a PLAN for dealing with terrorism!! Just vote for me...yeah...yeah...vote for me and I'll show you...I'll show YOU ALL!!!!
Sincerely,
JFK

I don't want Osama in an American prison. I don't want him on American soil...EVER. I want him dead in the sands of the country he stole...Afghanistan!!!

How can Kerry even suggest that Osama live to be imprisoned? Because he doesn't believe Osama deserves the death penalty.

Vote against this man November 3. This country needs a strong leader, not a man who will turn the USA into France-West.

Boy, this is really ROUGH! Kerry is a real dynamo/NOT.

Just to think that Kerry would allow bin Ladin to have ONLY limited access to the Internet.

How tough can one get! It's scarey. No, it's sKerry!

"... terrorists who commit acts on U.S. soil ..."

Translation: forget pro-activity and ignore attacks against U.S. interests around the globe.

Voila, the difference between Kerry and a real leader - President Bush - in a nutshell!

This is a restatement of the policy of Clinton.

Clinton and Janet Reno said that it was a law enforement problem.

How are they going to get other terrorists to come to the U.S. and appear as witneses in a "Court of Law"?

This is from the Onion?

This is an absolutely limp-wristed attitude toward WAR.

This is a war, it isn't our local cops rounding up perps.

"...terrorists who commit acts on U.S. soil, will be brought to justice and they WILL be tried in a court of law and convicted."

Does a Terrorist have rights? Deserves their day in court? I don’t think so..... John Kerry will see to it their "civil rights" are not violated......Kerry is truly a socialist nut case. The world would be better off had Saddam been shot between the eyes when he emerged from that hole in the ground...let that be a lesson when capturing OBL if in fact he is still alive.

Revoke Ramsey Clarks pass port - try him for treason and sedition.

Vote against this man November 3.

We vote on November 2, but it's perfectly fine to encourage your liberal friends and associates to vote on November 3. :-)

That is my thought exactly. This must be a joke. Clean sheets?? Is this his "sensitive" war on terrorism?

Somehow, I would feel better with a president that let the Dept. of DEFENSE deal with terrorists. And while we are on the subject, it occurs to me that Al Qaeda MURDERED 3,000 of us 3 years ago this day, and we just happen to have 500 of them in custody in Cuba. I say we need to begin letting the Dept. of JUSTICE deal with them and pronto. Gallows for the lot of 'em. And on videotape. We could send a copy to Al Jazera.

Unbelievable, but true. This 132-days veteran doesn't understand that terrorists are at WAR w/us.
