This is an example of John Kerry desecrating our Flag on Friday September 10, 2004. He has no respect and demonstrates it by walking all over our Flag.

******** My Comments:
His latest Mantra, affordable healthcare is on a banner hanging on the wall, and that is the wording on the floor...
"Affordable healthcare... A Stronger America"
It was put there by his people who planned this event...
Kerry is clearly seen walking on the flag... And Flag Desecration is an Issue...
And YES, I support My American Legion for a Flag Amendment.
Furthermore,

e) The flag of the United States of America should be at the center and at the highest point of the group when a number of flags of States or localities or pennants of societies are grouped and displayed from staffs.

§ 6. Time and occasions for display
(a) It is the universal custom to display the flag only from sunrise to sunset
on buildings and on stationary flagstaffs in the open. However, when a patriotic
effect is desired, the flag may be displayed 24 hours a day if properly illuminated
during the hours of darkness.
And note (b):
§ 8. Respect for flag
No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the
flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags,
and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.
(a) The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a
signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.
(b) The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the
floor, water, or merchandise.
(c) The flag should never be carried flat or horizontally, but always aloft and
free.
It goes to character & integrity, and that picture shows kerry has NEITHER.
And More:
Quote:
(i) The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner
whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or
handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or
boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising
signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown.
And this is an ISSUE according to MY AMERICAN LEGION, of which I am a PROUD Member....
In the last Issue, they asked each Candidate:

8 ) Do you support a Constitutional Amendment to return to the Congress the right to protect the American flag?
President George W. Bush
Desecration of our flag is an insult to the Americans who have fought and died to ensure that our Nation remains a home for liberty.
That is why I steadfastly support a constitutional amendment to authorize the Congress to prohibit the physical desecration of the flag of the United States.
For more than 200 years, the American flag has served as a symbol of our country's enduring freedom and unity. Old Glory has welcomed
generations of immigrants to America's shores and is displayed proudly on homes, at schools, and over businesses across
our country. During times of war, our flag has rallied our citizens to defend the blessings of liberty at home and abroad.
It has accompanied our troops into battle and been given to grieving families at the grave sites of fallen heroes. Today,
as our brave men and women in uniform fight terrorism and advance freedom, the flag inspires patriotism and pride across
our Nation and around the world.
Senator John Kerry
I believe that amending the Constitution is a grave and serious matter, and should only be pursued regarding issues that touch upon
the essential nature of us as a free people. We are a nation founded on dissent, on the right of all of us to support, or
protest, the actions of our government, or to speak to the issues of the day. Sometimes, what is said, or what is done as a
form of expression, is abhorrent to me and to many others. Burning our flag is an act that I personally cannot understand nor
condone. This is the flag I fought under, and too many died under. But I took an oath when I entered the Navy and when I was
elected to the Senate to support the Constitution. Our country is defined by the rights we protect, and we who have put our
lives on the line also fought to defend the right of people to do things that we disagree with, however abhorrent we may find
their actions.
NOTE how Kerry dodges the question, but never really asays no, but it is obvious to me how he feels....
The above Picture PROVES IT...
For me, THIS IS AN ISSUE... And I suspect it may interest others as well. People died and are dying today to
protect those colors, and I think for them, it may be an issue as well.

Joe
John Forgery Kerry is an empty suit -- leave him alone. He needs a special education class, along with Hanoi Jane, Michael Moore and other mental deficients.
The real disrespect occurred when the flag was painted on the floor.
See: Magritte -- Treason of Images
"This is not a pipe."
It is his Campaign Slogan he has been using all week....
I would not have walked on it, I would have had it removed, and FIRED the MORON who put it there, as well as the MORONS who suggested it, manufactured it, and approved it....
They can't even put enough stars on the flag...
I can't believe that JFK's "people" wouldn't have objected to that stage, but maybe it was just a forged American flag.
What would W have done?
You said:
"Admittedly it doesn't seem very respectful, but isn't there a difference between a flag and a picture of a flag?"
Not in my eyes, it's not... People died and are dying to defend those colors..
Regards,
Joe
"Healthcare" only polls 15% currently, while "Terror" and "Economy" poll 35% each...why does Kerry continue to focus on a losing issue?
It was clearly thoughtless on his part. I think this picture may be a big problem for Kerry if it is used the "right" way. By that I mean that it should be promoted as an example of Kerry being thoughtless.
However, I believe "desecration" should be left unsaid! To those who don't care, it would be dismissed as an "over the top" description. But to those who DO care, they would see desecration without it being said.
With any luck, the Dems will glom onto this picture and spread it themselves. If it were to be used in Time or NewsWeek it could cost Kerry some real votes.
If we raise the alarm, they will sit on it like they tried with the NASA photos.
Somebody who organized the campaign thought it would be appropriate. (I thinks)
There are no stars on HIS flag -- how many stars were on the flag of the USSR?
He's a CLOWN and belongs in a circus sideshow. God forbid this moron be elected to the highest office in the free world.
Yeah, I agree.
The law only applies to actual flags, not to the images thereof. However, for those of us who've defended those colors, there's not much difference. It's all about the intent of the heart - and there's no doubt in my mind what John F'in' Kerry intended.
By the way, love your tagline :)
Holy crap!!! Is this guy kidding me? He`s running for POTUS and he`s stomping on the flag??? WHAT?? That`s like runnning for Pope and spitting on the cross!! This guy is the biggest freggin` moron, I swear. Even my 8 year old nephew who`s in the cub scouts knows about respecting the flag, and this idiot wants to be President?? Oh God help us all if this fat headed moron wins!
A prudent sapient would detect the slight. Effin' in neither prudent nor sapient; and, anyway, you probably got it right: it's his "secret message" to the SDS crowd that his heart remains unchanged with regard to his loathing for the USA.
