**Kerry Desecrates Flag (Picture)**
Yahoo & AP ^ | September 11, 2004 | Joseph Ranos

Posted on 09/10/2004 11:30:26 PM PDT by Sonar5

This is an example of John Kerry desecrating our Flag on Friday September 10, 2004. He has no respect and demonstrates it by walking all over our Flag.

Image From: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?g=events/pl/021103kerry&a=&tmpl=sl&ns=&l=1&e=24&a=0&t=&prev=23

******** My Comments:

His latest Mantra, affordable healthcare is on a banner hanging on the wall, and that is the wording on the floor...

"Affordable healthcare... A Stronger America"

It was put there by his people who planned this event...

Kerry is clearly seen walking on the flag... And Flag Desecration is an Issue...

And YES, I support My American Legion for a Flag Amendment.

Furthermore,

From:
http://www.legion.org/?section=our_flag&subsection=flag_code&content=flag_position

e) The flag of the United States of America should be at the center and at the highest point of the group when a number of flags of States or localities or pennants of societies are grouped and displayed from staffs.

From:
http://www.legion.org/pdf/flagcode.pdf

§ 6. Time and occasions for display
(a) It is the universal custom to display the flag only from sunrise to sunset
on buildings and on stationary flagstaffs in the open. However, when a patriotic
effect is desired, the flag may be displayed 24 hours a day if properly illuminated
during the hours of darkness.

And note (b):

§ 8. Respect for flag
No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the
flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags,
and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.
(a) The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a
signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.
(b) The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the
floor, water, or merchandise.
(c) The flag should never be carried flat or horizontally, but always aloft and
free.

It goes to character & integrity, and that picture shows kerry has NEITHER.

And More:

Quote:
(i) The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner
whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or
handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or
boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising
signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown.

And this is an ISSUE according to MY AMERICAN LEGION, of which I am a PROUD Member....

In the last Issue, they asked each Candidate:

8 ) Do you support a Constitutional Amendment to return to the Congress the right to protect the American flag?

President George W. Bush
Desecration of our flag is an insult to the Americans who have fought and died to ensure that our Nation remains a home for liberty.
That is why I steadfastly support a constitutional amendment to authorize the Congress to prohibit the physical desecration of the flag of the United States.

For more than 200 years, the American flag has served as a symbol of our country's enduring freedom and unity. Old Glory has welcomed
generations of immigrants to America's shores and is displayed proudly on homes, at schools, and over businesses across
our country. During times of war, our flag has rallied our citizens to defend the blessings of liberty at home and abroad.
It has accompanied our troops into battle and been given to grieving families at the grave sites of fallen heroes. Today,
as our brave men and women in uniform fight terrorism and advance freedom, the flag inspires patriotism and pride across
our Nation and around the world.

Senator John Kerry
I believe that amending the Constitution is a grave and serious matter, and should only be pursued regarding issues that touch upon
the essential nature of us as a free people. We are a nation founded on dissent, on the right of all of us to support, or
protest, the actions of our government, or to speak to the issues of the day. Sometimes, what is said, or what is done as a
form of expression, is abhorrent to me and to many others. Burning our flag is an act that I personally cannot understand nor
condone. This is the flag I fought under, and too many died under. But I took an oath when I entered the Navy and when I was
elected to the Senate to support the Constitution. Our country is defined by the rights we protect, and we who have put our
lives on the line also fought to defend the right of people to do things that we disagree with, however abhorrent we may find
their actions.

NOTE how Kerry dodges the question, but never really asays no, but it is obvious to me how he feels....
The above Picture PROVES IT...

For me, THIS IS AN ISSUE... And I suspect it may interest others as well. People died and are dying today to
protect those colors, and I think for them, it may be an issue as well.

Regards,
Joe

TV would need video, so we would have to dig around, but it would be pretty odd for a camera guy to film the floor...

I would think Drudge or Hannity would report on this though.

I am sending this to every Veteran I know, and then some... Directing them to this thread...

BTW - Tomorrow is Patriot Day...

My first response was to agree with you, but it always helps to look at a pathological case, too: What if he stopped in the middle of his talk and urinated on it? Would we still think no insult to the flag had occurred?

He's really committed to affordable healthcare. Witness his choice of an ambulance chaser for VP.

If you feel silly because WE are objecting the Kerry standing on that flag then methinks the problem is all yours.

So, if you cut the flag out of the rug, it would be a flag! It does seem to be a rug they haul around with them, has his .com at the bottom of it. Now what rat genius thought up that rug??? Some clown no doubt!

And there's that finger again! Can you imagine a State or the Union Address by this guy. Everyone in the first 10 rows would lose an eye. Put that thing away.

I guess it could be worse. I recall "Put that thing away" having to be said regarding a different appendage during the previous administration.

Well I got to say, I suuuure do love what he`s doing to that idiot Dan Rather now! Dan Rather made me lose one hell of a lot of money a few months ago, and I hope that jackass gets what`s coming to him big time! I owned a stock called Taser (TASR) and 2 days before earnings came out on the company last July, the New York Times printed this completely one-sided article (on a Sunday no less when markets are closed) bashing the company saying Tasers kill people, when there once not one shred of evidence to support that.

Needless to say on Monday the stock started to drop. After the earnings report came out (which was good) Dan Rather decided to get into the act as well, and did a piece on his TV show bashing the company, telling a completely slanted side just like the New York Slimes, which then resulted in the stock ultimately dropping 20 points.

You know why he did it? Because liberals can`t stand the fact that cops have a successful weapon against crime. And anytime the stock rises in these companies, they bash them. They do this all the time for any company that helps our military or our police become more successful. And people don`t think people like Dan Rather and the NY Times don`t have a vendetta against this country?? ha ha!! That`s a laugh. I consider them nothing less than enemies of the US, and they prove it every single day.

Oh come on folks. We can find a lot more damning stuff on Kerry than him walking on elaborately decorated piece of carpet!!!

Wake up dopey!!!!!  Would your tread upon the American flag carpet or painting or whatever the heck that thing is? You have shown your ignorance, even 5 year olds know better than John Kerry and you.

He knows that the flag decoration is on the floor and instead of speaking from behind it he blatantly walks on it... What meaning does this have? John Kerry desecrated the flag on the cover of his book "The New Soldier" and here he continues to desecrate it. The point is he has not learned anything in the last 30 years.

And what kind of healthcare coverage is he promising? We have health insurance and non-tax reimbursement account. Health insurance often pays only 1/3 to 1/2. We pay the rest with reimbursement account. Plus doctors and dentists want the whole sum paid up front. WE have to wait for insurance to pay, THEN we have to wait for reimbursement to pay us back for that part. Might as well NOT have health insurance, since we pay so much. (It was ALL much cheaper BEFORE insurance came along - doctors raised prices for the insured) I don't see how the US taxpayers can pay for such expensive healthcare for every person in the USA. Are they talking about paying 100% or what.
