The American Compass recognizes New Media

Posted on 09/10/2004 9:12:34 PM PDT by onyx eyes

The American Compass, meeting on C-Span, under Booknotes, 9-01-04, featured keynote speakers, who said that We now, have the "old media", and the "new media". It was explained the "old media", is the television stations, press, newspapers and so on. The "new" media is the blogs, forums, websites, that have become widespread and popular. The American Compass speakers said; The "old" media did not want to face or question Kerry's past, and that the Swifties and their book, "Unfit For Command", did the job, for getting past them.

TOPICS: Culture/Society; News/Current Events; Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: american; blogs; compass; cspan; forums; media; new; oldmedia; unfitforcommand
The Swifties were able to get past them, with our help. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the dawn of a new era. When we can take care of ourselves. We have the tools, our blogs, forums, and websites. And since I heard the above statements on C-Span, on that morning, of 9-01-04, I have begun to hear more and more, of our new identity. Wednesday, I heard this at least once. "The New Media". Thursday, I heard it twice. Today, Friday, 9-10-04, I heard it (on the Old Media stations, of Fox News and MSNBC and again on C-Span), at least four times. I AM SO PROUD!

The question now is will the new media be as activist as the old? So far, all signs point to yes.

The Redstream media moans its fate!

To the tune of the Beetles "Yesterday"

Yesterday,  news was what we would say
Now the truth comes out everyday
Oh, We believe in yesterday.

Gradually, propaganda is not what it use to be
There's too many ways for the world to see.
Now the spin is plain to see
We could lie, show one side, or hide facts away
When... we... could be so wrong , how we long for yesterday!

Yesterday, the camera only pointed our way.
Now our viewers are turning away.
 Oh, we believe in yesterday

Just recently, the concept of "old media" versus "new media" struck me. And I put that connection into those exact words when I posted the revelation on my state locale.

I guess this concept has just become sooo obvious in light of how desperate liberal journalists, who comprise 91% in journalism, have become. They boldly skew the truth to suit their own agenda. And it seems that priority one for them is to sabotage Bush's re-election.

And you see, what we have going for us, is that all of us, want the best and the truth. We, of the New Media, are a growing bunch of people who are determined to have our T's crossed and our I's dotted. Factual, in other words.

Like Bagdad Bob, or Pravda, the old media will not accept the new world. The old media will continue to stick to their pre-programmed script, while they go down in flames.

Denial is all that they have left.

Oooh, I said "left".

True, its like Pravda, etc. Except the American old media, doesn't have a gun to their heads telling them what they had better report. Its more like, they laugh among themselves as they giggle and tee hee over what they can make us regular citizens believe for this week.....
