On September 11, 2001 our nation was attacked. Like many New Yorkers Steve Golding lost a friend in the World Trace Center attack. He created a flash video that became one of the most watched videos on the internet. I was webmaster for WABC radio host Steve Malzberg at the time and contacted Steve Golding to see if we could run the video from our website. It was the most requested video that we had on the site. It is appropriate that on this anniversary I link to it again so that we can be reminded what this anniversary is all about. Why our friends, neighbors and relatives who serve in our armed forces are sacrificing their lives. It must also serve as a reminder why we must mnake the right choice on November 2, 2004. Too many of my fellow New Yorkers have forgotten or at least they have become complacent, thinking we can negotiate with evil. We cannot. I am linking to the video so that we can remind ourselves of that day and also so that some newbies to this site who have never seen it may have the opportunity to view it. You can view the video by clicking on the link below, a new window will pop up. It is a large file (7 megs) so please be patient.
Steve Golding is also a member of Rolling Thunder and the webmaster of http://www.powforum.org
After the attack and during the recovery a memorial light was put in place. Two powerful spotlights facing the sky where the towers stood. The following shots were taken by me from pier 58 in Brooklyn on April 13, 2002 one day before the lights were switched off. It was also my 50th birthday.

I think so! I am sure the media will be covering the various tributes across the nation too. But I can't give you any specifics. Sorry. Maybe someone else who reads this can?
Thanks for pinging me....just sent this link to my address book!! NEVER FORGET!!!!
Thanks for posting. HBO just showed a documentary about this tonight. Footage I hadn't seen before; lots of private video. Same title as your thread title. I'd guess they'll be showing it tomorrow too.
As ALOHA RONNIE always says: NEVER FORGET!
That is a good idea! Thanks.

SEPTEMBER 11, 2001: ATTACK ON AMERICA! (Updated)
http://www.truthusa.com/911.html
"Each and every one a hero"
Indeed, here's another:
*****Thomas Burnett, Flight 93*****
He was a take-charged kind of guy, a 6'2" former football star in high school back in Bloomington, Minnesota, and Deena immediately knew that he was going to try stopping the hijackers. This was confirmed the next time he called from his cell phone. "They're talking about crashing this plane into the ground," said Thomas. "We have to do something. I'm putting a plan together." The last time he phoned Tom said they were waiting until they were over a rural area. "We're going to take back the plane," he said. "We can't wait for the authorities. I don't know what they could do anyway. It's up to us. I think we can do it."
"What do you want me to do?" Deena had asked.
"Pray, Deena," said Tom. "Just pray."
And that she did. "The two of us were calm -- eerily calm. I knew that no matter what happened, that everything was going to be okay. I remember after hanging up the phone after each conversation with him just saying the same prayer. I asked God to hold him in the palms of His Hands. I prayed for strength for all of us, and the endurance to do God's Will."
My family and I will never forget. That September day changed the world as we knew it forever. Thank God George W. Bush was our president then and now! God, please give W 4 more years.
A toast...to the matyrs of September 11, 2001.
May revenge be swift.
Thank you for posting the video.
Watching that tribute makes me cry. I guess that's why the MSM seems to be downplaying the anniversary, and we haven't seen too many images of that day--at least not yet.
There's no point in reminding us of what we've been through, what we felt that day, whom we're fighting against, and which leader is best qualified by temperament, character, and destiny for the job. I don't have to be reminded. I will never forget.
Those who weren't in NYC then may not realize this, but the wind was blowing south on 9-11-01. That means the smoke drifted away from Manhattan, and the smell wasn't that strong to those of us who were at work again in Midtown on the 12th. A couple of days later, the wind shifted and really blew the smoke uptown. I remember smelling it, how strong it was. It filled the buildings with the horror of what had happened.
I remember thinking that with every breath of that smoke I inhaled I was breathing in the remains of my fellow citizens, brothers, sisters, neighbors. That is something you don't forget.
I admit it, I cried at the video, I cried on 9-11, and 9-12, and on lots of other days after that. I'm not ashamed of it. I think I'd be ashamed if I hadn't cried. But I'm not a sympathy seeker.
I'm glad for the world's good wishes after 9-11, but they don't mean much to me. I'm not a hand-wringer or a politician. I wanted action. I wanted someone to avenge our loss. I wanted someone who would find the people who did this and take the fight to them. I wanted someone who would do what it takes to make the world safe for my children. I'm sure we've got that person in our President.
On this anniversary of 9-11, thank God for George W. Bush, and God bless America.
While we were on the phone the second plane hit. I couldn't sit still. When the building fell I thought she was gone. My husband came in from work and he was a white as a sheet. He heard about the buildings falling and he knew we had lost her. It wasn't until late in the morning that we got word from her that she had gotten out. She used a borrowed Blackberry to write us an email.
That whole day I grieved for the families looking for their loved ones. It could have been us.
My daughter had a baby last Sept. 16.
Thank you!
Wow, isn't that great? Gosh, I wish the dems that are just following someone else's nose really understood what they are giving up.
