Longtime Democratic strategist Pat Caddell said Friday that if documents aired by CBS newsman Dan Rather Wednesday night turn out to be forged, as alleged by experts, the presidential race "is over."

Bullshiloney! George W Bush is winning the Presidency!

The day this country elects a president on hate will be a sorry day indeed.

Caddell said he wasn't trying to sensationalize the issue, explaining that instead "I'm trying to save my party, you know, by telling the truth."

Well, that would be a novelty. Finally, Zell Miller will have one other Democrat to talk to.

I have my doubts as to whether or not people will remember this one week from now (if they've even heard about it), much less in November.

I agree. It looks to me like the MSM are doing their usual imitation of "fair and balanced" to gloss this over. That the documents are forged is being treated as just a competing allegation, given equal time to the things the forged documents say.

Still, the cumulative effect - Kerry's flip-flops, the Swiftvet allegations, now this - goes heavily against Kerry.

Dan Rather cost Kerry the election? Sweet! But, given his loyalty and fealty to the Clinton crime family, he's probably just doing the bidding of his master. Torpedo Kerry? All part of the plan.

See, the plan is to let GWB deal with terrorism and fix the economy during the next four years. Then, Hillary will run and win the White House. She'll be seen not only as the first woman president, but she'll save American as well as the Democrat party. And Bill will be able to enjoy the White House, Air Force One and all of those interns again.

Thanks for your loyalty to the family, Dan.

I wonder if that could be the same strategist who said Bush would go into his convention 10 or 15 points below Kerry.

At least they can blame someone besides Kerry, he can do no wrong, y'know.

Have any of you (we're all political junkies here) EVER seen a situation where the daughter of a minor political player, who is recruited by a network to debase an incumbent president's record, comes on a political show and calls her father a liar? I'm telling you they were both hired by Bill and Hill.

It's not James Carville. James is not loyal to Kerry at all. I still chuckle at James wearing the garbage can on his head during live election coverage of the whipping democrats in congress took in 2002. James is a man who can laugh at himself. When James gets rude and nasty, he goes to the mat for personal loyalty. He would never go to the mat for Kerry.

This has all the aroma of Harold Ickes and some labor union clerks who got creative with the word processor and copier. Ickes works only for Hillary.

No, Kerry is doing fine destroying his campaign all by himself. Rather is just more desperate leftist buffoonery window dressing.

Does anyone know what happened to Ted Kennedy? Is he still alive? I mean he could be dead but with all that embalming 120 proof who would know? I have not heard a peep from him since before the Republican Convention. Of course he would be the first to leave a sinking car...I mean ship....

Just watched the third schmoe in a row try to pathetically defend JF'n Kerry on Fox. I, and 12 others in my family, have never been more invigorated to vote, donate and blatanly support GWB. All of these liars have just motivated our base to a degree that they will not recover from in decades to come.

Guess what, the 4th smuck has just unloaded on H&C..........Robert Reicccccccccccccccccha. It's desperation time for the valium crowd.

This election may turn into a cival war.

The harder the MSM pushes for Kerry, the worse he does.

Bush will be up by ANOTHER 3-5 points in the major polls next week and the dims/MSM will be in full coniption.

Anyone besides me notice the ABSOLUTE SILENCE from most of the dim House Reps, and ALL of the dim Senators since the GOP convention? Even before?

Sure, Pelosi and Rangle are out there trying to put up a strong face.........but where's Patty Murray? Barbara Boxer? Daschele? Schumer? Clinton? Byrd?

I have said for some time that if the libs think it is hopeless, some of them might end up taking up arms or using bombs.

These people just aren't sane. It is a mental affliction.

If this document thing hurts their boy, there is no telling what they are capable of..The thing is, they are just like the terrorists..they can justify anything including slander and murder.

We are apparently going to be treated to a truly delicious dish. It appears that Dan Rather and CBS News are going to try to blow their way through this by insisting that their documents are genuine.

This is so last century. They imagine that CBS News has a sufficiently large store of credibility with the public that they can make a lie come true by simply insisting that it is so.

I don't think they can. I think the blogosphere will eat their lunch. CBS News will be destroyed, by a force that CBS still holds in contempt. CBS hasn't a clue what it is up against.

Dan Rather probably imagines himself to be one-third (along with Tom and Peter) of the anointed "deciders of truth" in these United States. He probably figures that's good enough to blow his way through this.

But he is no such thing. He is one third of an aging, decrepit, and quite spent force. If he didn't 'get it' after a cable news channel beat him in the ratings during the RNC convention, then he isn't going to get it now. So he is going to go out there and put all his chips on these obviously forged documents, imagining that he is going to win simply because he is Dan Rather and he says so.

But he isn't going to win. He's going to lose all his chips. And CBS News is going to lose all theirs as well. They are going to come out of this disgraced.

By deciding to defend these documents, Dan Rather has moved from being duped, to being a collaborator in the lie. He has openly sided with those who hoped to smear the President and fool the people with a poorly done, amateurish hoax.

He is so screwed. And he doesn't even see it coming. I am going to love every minute of this.

Captain Dan the shill.
Captain Dan the Democrat
