Are the Killian Memos a Forgery?
The media is buzzing with the possibility that the Killian memos broadcast on 60 Minutes are forgeries. The truth hangs on whether any commonly-used typewriters in the 60's-70's had proportional spacing. If you HAVE a typewriter like that, please type out a replica of Killian's first memo and see if your typewriter matches his.

So the Democrats-dot-commies are trying the opposite of our strategy - "prove" the forgeries aren't forgeries by finding a typewriter that will replicate the memos. It's be a heck of a lot easier for them, of course, if they could simply open up their email sent boxes and print out the original one to CBS!
Perhaps we can have a little fun with this one though. Any thoughts/
Remember - Democrats.com is a self-described "unofficial" Democrat Party group that was set up before the 2000 elections by a bunch of Clinton White House goons, among them most notably John Kerry's new pollster Stan Greenberg.

Aww, geeze, we'd have to pull out one of the old timers to carve us up a custom ball to get that superscript TH and there's all that bother of having to get to his widow and replace all the documents they have there.
Wouldn't it just be easier to blame the whole thing on Rove?

What's scary, when you think about it, is that Kerry/CBS may have gotten away with this if they simply pulled out an old typewriter, and added a few typos and whiteout ink...

If you want a real laugher click on this link. It's Democrats.com's conspiracy theory about how Karl Rove is behind it all!

Perhaps some freepers with typewriters can have some fun with this and send them some "replications" of the forgeries!

How do they plan to handle that some of the memos were made after the person who supposedly wrote them retired?

"any ideas" sure, have some make up the name of a type writer that never exixsisted ( use a really strange name) then when starts being reported (u know they will run with it it with out checking) they'll look even more stupid and less credible.

My suggestion to them would be to go to the National Zoo and head straight for the monkey house.
They then could chain chimps to typewriters and eventually come up with all the Great Books.
However I doubt that they'd ever come up with a bigger F*** Up than Rathergate.

Kerry/CBS may have gotten away with this if they simply pulled out an old typewriter, and added a few typos and whiteout ink...It was amateur night. This was a low budget effort, and to think with Kerry's millions.

The Selectric model No. 2827-9j2 can do that, I have one and it was manufactured in 1969.

Hey, give it a shot! They've got a forum set up for people to post reports back (http://community.democrats.com/forums/discussions.cfm?forumid=170&topicid=135152)
Go tell 'em about your ole' Strategerio 6900 that had a superscript key, proportional faunt, a centering button, and a bad tendency to splatter ink dots all over the background of the page it was typing. They'll make it front page news!
