Marjorie Connell — widow of the late Lt. Col. Jerry Killian, the reported author of memos suggesting that Bush did not meet the standards for the Texas Air National Guard — questions whether the documents are real on tonight's NIGHTLINE, sources tell DRUDGE.

I WAS ANGRY, BECAUSE HERE THEY ARE GOING BACK AND PULLING RECORDS OF A MAN WHO IS DECEASED TWENTY YEARS, WHO IS NOT HERE TO EXPLAIN WHAT ANY OF THESE DOCUMENTS SAID OR SUPPOSED TO HAVE SAID, AND I JUST FOUND IT APPALLING. I WAS SICK THAT HERE WITHOUT WARNING HIS PICTURES ARE UP THERE, HIS NAME IS BEING BATTLED BACK AND FORTH AND I, LIVID I GUESS IS A BETTER WORD FOR IT."

The idea of any 1972 era military man sitting down at a 1972 era typewriter to write a perfectly spelled ... superscripted ... "note to himself" didn't ring true to you and it doesn't ring true to me either.

I think she pretty much put the kabash to any CBS claims of authenticity of its forgerys. According to his wife, Killian didn't even type. The CBS deceitful bastards have really put their foot in it this time. There should definitely be criminal charges filed for using forged documents to influence the outcome of a presidential election.
Surely now John McCain will go pubic and say that CBS was dishonest and deceitful like he said about the swiftboat vets. < sarcasm.
But tonights cbs "news" all but ignored this. I know how difficult it is to sue for libel, but I think she CAN prove malice by cbs. All she would need is the Media Research Center's archives to more than demonstrate absolute anti-Bush bias.

LOL! I threw my VCR holding the tape of the Packers' SuperBowl loss to Denver into the pond behind my house.
That recorder had a problem spitting out the tape on first try, so it needed a burial at sea with the tape.
I'm probably a little older than most on this list, so bear with me since my computer skills are really not up to snuff like most people on this forum. It is with real pleasure and honor that this old man can keep up with the news and such from this list. Our local rag is a rag; the TV is just that. You young fellows and gals are a real kick in the butt for me, especially your exceptional skills which would put Holmes to shame. Thank you all.
