CBSNEWS LAUNCHES INTERNAL INVESTIGATION AFTER SUSPICIOUS BUSH DOCS AIRED
**Exclusive**
CBS NEWS executives have launched an internal investigation into whether its premiere news program 60 MINUTES aired fabricated documents relating to Bush's National Guard service, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
"The reputation and integrity of the entire news division is at stake, if we are in error, it will be corrected," a top CBS source explained late Thursday.
The source, who asked not to be named, described CBSNEWS anchor and 60 MINUTES correspondent Dan Rather as being privately "shell-shocked" by the increasingly likelihood that the documents in question were fraudulent.
Rather, who anchored the segment presenting new information on the president's military service, will personally correct the record on-air, if need be, the source explained from New York.

Looks like Hurricane Forgery hit New York last night.
You know darn well that Rather and the goons at CBS will say...."After investigations, we find the documents to be real".
But there are enough people at other news groups bringing this up....so hopefully that crap won't work.
Sure they are......like they don't know what happened. Their findings will be about as valid as Al Jazera investigating a whore house.
What's with "hugh"?
HUGE
LOL newbie alert! (Sorry but it's an inside FR joke, and you stepped in it)
Coming here since 2001 makes me a newbie?
Come on, I'm enjoying the first thread in ages that's free of "Work like we're ten points behind!" posts.
My husband and I were just talking this evening about Bergie. What's happened with that?
That example does not help rehabilitate these "forgeries" at all. The superscripted characters are completely different.
Maybe one day Geraldo can open the Rather vault..
Dang! That pic of Bush in his uniform makes me swoon a little. Anybody have a spare fan?
it means oww|\|qge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1~~~ olololollololo!!!!!!!!!!!111~ L0L
Yes,she did earlier today,on the radio, and Hannity played it on T.V.!
More like Damn! I didn't fool the peasants.
You're right...this is a blue dress day!
That might be a bit over the top, but it does bring to the forefront some salient points:
1) Less than 24 hours for a major news story to get from the web to the TV. That includes the research. I find that simply incredible. If this doesn't wake the MSM up then they're truly doomed;
2) The MSM is now on notice: they can't foist outright lies and fabricated news on the public without thousands of independent researchers with thousands of specialties fact-checking every syllable.
I expect shock waves to reverberate through the entirety of the MSM. They took a serious wound today.
If Dan doesn't regain his composure soon, he may end up sharing a room with his buddy Clinton in the hospital.
Ethically speaking, is a news organization required to respect the confidentiality of a source who provides it with bogus evidence?
With Dan Rather, the frequency of lies out of his mouth is about 10 per second!
