Documents unearthed by CBS News that raise doubts about whether President Bush fulfilled his obligations to the Texas Air National Guard include several features suggesting that they were generated by a computer or word processor rather than a Vietnam War-era typewriter, experts said yesterday.

How many other times has CBS lied, faked, forged? Their credibility is shot with those of us who pay attention, but what about the guy or gal who believes what they're told by the MSM?
These people are pond scum and I hope America's about to figure it out.
What Hath Al Wroth?
To see a truly amazing example of Washington Post bias.. This ran on page one a few days ago. It's on the Greenspan testimony.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A5044-2004Sep8.html
In it the Post places this, and this wasn't mentioned in Greenspan's testimony and they have no reason to put it in:
August retail sales, for example, were disappointing for many chains, such as Wal-Mart, that market primarily to middle income households, while upscale stores such as Neiman Marcus thrived. Greenspan didn't mention auto sales, but General Motors and Ford Motor Co. have announced plans to cut production because their dealer lots are clogged with inventories. Intel Corp., the world's largest computer chip maker, and the drug store chain Rite Aid have lowered sales forecasts because of sluggish demand.
lol why mention that upscale stores are booming!?!?!? And then hint in the next sentence that Greenspan mentioned it (of course he didn't)!This message of class warfare has obviously been gnawing at this reporters mind - not to mention a Kerry win.
This is the actual testimony:

This is what I was talking about with the Post, you have good reporters and Partisan reporters and you never know what you're going to get from them.
Is this the same Bobby Hodges, who as a Texas National Guard pilot was flying F102 combat missions in Vietnam on the day George W Bush started his basic training???????
When you consider that they are liberal democrats, dedicated to Kerry's election, it must be pure torture for them. I'd say, with that in mind, they are doing a good to very good job. They are for the most part doing honest to goodness journalism. Who knew?
HOLY CRAP!!!!!
The latest facts I've read are that the memo has 13 point line spacing, which typewriters didn't have and that the August 18, 1973 memo refers to getting pressure from General Staudt, who resigned in 1972.
The image I linked to has been removed, so here is my post again with an image I made from the original file. It's hard to tell if the superscript is underlined or not.
The second line has 111th with the superscript th, and was dated 1968. All the rest have 111th with no superscript. They were obviously written on different typewriters at different times, but it obviously was possible to get a superscript in 1968, as these are official docs.
Here's a link to the doc from the records Bush released. see page 3: http://www.usatoday.com/news/bushdocs/9-Miscellaneous.pdf
OMG!!!!
In July 1968, General Hodgesbegan a 90-day voluntary tour of duty in Southeast Asia. He participated in the Palace Alert program of the Air Force, a program using Air National Guard pilots flying F-102 interceptor aircraft in Southeast Asia. During his tour of duty, General Hodges flew 51 combat missions out of South Vietnam and Northern Thailand for a total of 101 combat flying hours. In May 1969, he assumed command of the 147th Fighter Interceptor Group and under his command the unit carried out its air defense mission of the upper Texas Gulf Coast in an exceptional manner. He also assumed command of Ellington AFB as an additional duty when the Air Force closed out its host base responsibility in March 1975.
I think actually the thread that the blogs all linked to showed Texasforever thinking forgery first, but for different reasons than Buck. The blogs ran with Buck's quote, which had more detail and evidence to back up the claim, but maybe TF influenced his thinking? Just an observation.
Well, TF and I are like brothers, so I'll gladly acknowledge his contribution to the snowball that started the corn-holing of CBS News and Dan Rather.
This is just too wonderful if this blows up in CBS face. And may I add the face of the national media as a whole who all ran with this story completely!
LOL. Well I smelled a rat because I am an old hand a CYA memos and I NEVER wrote one to myself I spead them far and wide.
WaPo, Fox, ABC. This story is everywhere. Please please please let the DNC be behind this. Please.
I honestly don't think I have ever watched nightline....but I will tonight. Hubby is watching the game.
Don't be surprised if the creeps at CBS claim the docs were forged by Bush supporters and it was all a setup....
It's the TYPEWRITER SCHTUPID! - ping.
CBS = Constantly Blowing Smoke.
