Post and ABC News are in bed with each other. CBS is in bed with Post-Newsweek's rival, the NYT. A decision may have been made to torpedo CBSNYT to undermine both their market share in TV and in print.

The NYT brand name has been aggressively marketed over the past ten years, at the expense of Post-Newsweek's market share. Expect PN and ABC to try and change this.
