I'll bet they did. . . .

But the $64,000 question is this: who gave the docs to CBS?One self-hyped, self-indulgant, demoncRAT named Ben Barnes, that's who.

If Nightline is saying they are forgeries, then CBS hasn't a prayer. But I will believe it when I see it.Nightline will say the forgeries call into question any docs the Swift Boat Vets have into question. After all, if they are going to say the CBS docs against Bush are foregeries, it is only fair to say docs against Kerry might also be forged.
Any takers on this speculation?

Let's hope they tie this tincan to Captain Dan's tail...and finish him off, too. You don't want the Swift Vets to complete their tour of duty?

Check out the ABC story:
Among the points Flynn and other experts noted:
The memos were written using a proportional typeface, where letters take up variable space according to their size, rather than fixed-pitch typeface used on typewriters, where each letter is allotted the same space. Proportional typefaces are available only on computers or on very high-end typewriters that were unlikely to be used by the National Guard.
The memos include superscript, i.e. the "th" in "187th" appears above the line in a smaller font. Superscript was not available on typewriters.
The memos included "curly" apostrophes rather than straight apostrophes found on typewriters.
The font used in the memos is Times Roman, which was in use for printing but not in typewriters. The Haas Atlas the bible of fonts does not list Times Roman as an available font for typewriters.
The vertical spacing used in the memos, measured at 13 points, was not available in typewriters, and only became possible with the advent of computers.

Absolutely! Where there is a Bush National Guard story there you will find the DNC and terrible Terry. Accept no substitutes!

The only thing they will not tolerate is being duped. Broadcasting objectively false information is their stock in trade.

It is even more obvious to the entire nation (at least, those willing to see) that the Dims and the MSM are more interested in destroying a Republican president, during wartime, than destroying the enemies against whom this war is being fought.

I have heard that they came from the "Texas Veterans for Truth"(!), a Kerry-inspired 527.

Remember, Rick Kaplan (Clinton's best buddy) is back at ABC. Which, actually, gives no clue as to what Nightline will do.

In a much hyped story, CBS features a partisan hack with a long and shady record and produces forged documents. This has a couple of very good things for President Bush:
1. It will pretty much settle the issue of his guard service. People will remember that CBS tried to smear President Bush with forged documents.
2. This and hurricane Ivan will dominate news for several days. Not much time left for Kerry.

Vice-President said that the election of John Kerry could make it more likely that terrorists would attack the U.S.
I agree with Cheney.

I know that, That's what so funny about the whole thing. The White had to know they were forgeries and they just kept quiet and let people like us FReepers expose them :-):-)

Umgud nails it. Old Dan was just trying to help Kerry and what he has done is suck some more oxygen out of Lurch's faltering campaign. With friends like Dan....

One wonders if Clinton's people supplied the memos so that Kerry and the mediots would bite.
Wouldn't it be delicious to have CBS find out that the Hildabeast had a hand in this?
