I'll say they are taking a chance...especially since the documents are forgeries.
But perhaps there are wheels within wheels here in the dark cesspools of the minds of the democratic overlords and elitea. Could it be that Kerry is being submarined to set up Hillary for 2008?

Talk about desperation...
Freepers: we are witnessing the final days of the old media during this campaign. 4 years from now, CBSNBCABCWASHINGTONPOSTNEWYORKTIMESLOSANGELESTIMES will have zero credibility and influence -- at least among the 60% of voters who pay any attention. JMHO.

I really don't think they want to go there........
When Kerry's requested deferment was denied, he joined the Navy Reserves in hopes of safely sitting out the war. Unfortunately for him, his unit was called up and shipped out. What makes all the lamebrains think he actually volunteered to go to Nam???

What arrogance!
Yeah Kerry was also born with a silver spoon in hand, granted he did serve in vietnam. Only 4 months in combat... which are in question because he has not release his records. The rest of the time was on the Gridley. which if I remember correct was a support ship. The dems can go suck their own toes!

The DNC has nicknamed its effort "Operation Fortunate Son" after a Creedence Clearwater Revival anti-war anthem from the 1960s. They have named this effort to bring down a President "Operation Fortunate Son" a famous anti-war song from the 60's.
This is sick....

It'd be a hoot to see Rather go to jail because a Judge ordered him to reveal his sources and he refused.

I suspect that several talking head shows are pre-recorded. Hardball, Paula Zahn, and others are running with this story when the truth is alreading being questioned in breaking news. Talk about being behind the curve......

Timing is everything. They were trying to establish that President Bush had help in avoiding service in Viet Nam. But holy hannah, up popped the possible forgeries and drowned out any noise they were making. In my way of thinking, and I'm sure others will think likewise, if the memos from Colonel Killian are fake, why put any faith in the "fortunate son" spin? It just seems to be more manure piled on older manure, and people are getting angry and turning away from the RATS.

Could it be that Kerry is being submarined to set up Hillary for 2008? And now JFK is getting plenty of Clintonista "help" from Carville, Begala & crew. Nah, I don't think he's being intentionally tanked. /sarcasm

"Two things: One, he didn't tell the truth and that's not going to go away," said Howard Wolfson, a strategist dispatched to the DNC by Kerry's campaign to go negative on Bush. "Second, it begins to paint a picture of a very fortunate son who uses connections and pulls strings for special favors. That is a theme running through the man's life." If anybody had/has any questions about WHY they would forge these documents, here it is:
They are questioning his character, his honor, his truthfulness, and his integrity.

This time, Democrats are pressing media organizations to dig deeper while Kerry and his team make a broader argument about Bush's credibility and character.Old media's stories are outdated after three hours!
The Democrats pressed, and we dug, and lookie at what we came up with!
Forged documents, a daughter saying Ben Barnes lied, and Tom Harkin making a total fool of himself by saying "This is about George W. Bush's credibility."
Karl Rove couldn't have scripted this any better.

They are questioning his character, his honor, his truthfulness, and his integrity. ...and using lies and blatant forgeries to do so. How pathetic.
