I find it fitting that Kerry served on a "frigate".

OK...here's my attempt for "Desparation",(sung to Desparado)

Desparation
John Kerry come to your senses
You've played both sides of fences, for so long now
You're a "soft one", but you say "You've got your reasons"
You never thought your apeasements, would hurt you somehow

(bridge 1)
So Teh-re-zas' your queen of diamonds boy,
But she'll leave you when she's sober
Purple hearts you thought were your best bet
But now you've gone from high to low
Ain't it funny how your karma, "takes away"

2.
Desparation
You know you ain't gettin' younger
It sure is a bummer, you won't get your "throne"
Freedom and truth is what George Bush is talkin'
And now your trashing of Nam Vets, is all that you "own"

(bridge 2)
You were in Cambodia at Christmas time,
And Nixon was seared, seared in your mind
But now you say you "might" have the wrong day
Your medals you thought would save the day
And cover the treason you hoped would go away

3.
Desparation
You'll never come to your senses
Your narcissus tendencies now are your fate
And now it's rainin',your leaky boat is a sinkin'
But Jim Rassmann cannot save you
Ben Barnes & McCain can't save you
It's really Apocalypse NOW, John
Because now it's too late

(...gave it a try...another freeper asked a while back if someone would try to write words to "Desperado"..I tried)

and kerry wouldn't be considered a "fortunate son" because?

today my boss (who is a diehard W fan) made the statement about kerry serving two tours in vietnam....needless to say, I quickly told him about the first supposed "tour" on the ship that spent 95% of it's time off the shores of the US, Australia and China and 5% in the deep water off of vietnam....he was stunned as he absolutely cannot stand kerry and tries to stay on top of all of this....these facts need to be repeated over and over and over....i promised him (my boss) that i will be finished with UFD by the weekend and will let him borrow it...

It may just be me, but I think our "Operation Traitorous Twit" is going to be much more persuasive.

Here's the new slimy spin coming from the left:

President Bush failed to disclose an "arrest" by Yale campus police for participating in a "riot" after a football game on his National Guard application.

I was slumming and found it on a website which will remain nameless. However, it was posted there by someone who is "new" and could be a tin foil plant.

Keep your eye on this new one, guys!

Wow, poorly worded.

how about: Pres. Bush's Nat'l Guard app. does not disclose an "arrest" by Yale police for participating in a "riot " after a football game.

I hope you get my drift....my mind is fried from all this hurricane watching! ;-) GG

Irony redux: this song was apparently written about AL GORE. (I could be wrong about this, but it's what I have heard.)

What is left out of this is whether or not a question was asked "Have you ever been arrested?"

More likely, it would have asked "Have you ever been convicted of a crime?", in which case, Bush was right to leave any mention of this "riot" (a riot at friggin' YALE?) off his application.

Or boxcars with a field bet? I smell a craps game! Maybe in a month when the desert cools off a little:):)

Let 'em.

I left a hemorrhoidectomy off of my job application five years ago, and nobody checked.

I always wondered where excised hemorrhoids go...maybe to DU?

Take heart, the bogus 60 minutes story will sink Kerry. The DNC should rename this "operation kamikaze".

What makes all the lamebrains think he actually volunteered to go to Nam???

Because the media says so. Frankly, I'm wondering if the GOP pundits are aware of Kerry's deferments as there's been ample opportunity to bring it up when the other side condemns Bush, Cheney and today Carville added Ashcroft's deferments. It's so frustrating not to hear them correct the record.
