ONE MORE ARGUMENT
As much as the Kerry Spot has tried to keep up with this, PowerLine has been on top of this story all day long. That site just presented what ought to be the straw that breaks the camel's back:
In the August 18, 1973 memo "discovered" by 60 Minutes, Jerry Killian purportedly writes:
Staudt has obviously pressured Hodges more about Bush. I'm having trouble running interference and doing my job.
But wait! Reader Amar Sarwal points out that General Staudt, who thought very highly of Lt. Bush, retired in 1972.
Okay, CBS. The ball's in your court. Explain all this. Make all of this make sense. Don't completely ignore all of this, like you just did on the CBS Evening News.
If CBS ignores this, and gives no counterargument, no defense, then the general public will have no choice but to conclude that the network ran with a hoax - and now refuses to retract a lie.

Dan flunked out of Marine Basic training.
Piltdan...Piltdown....more like MELTDOWN!

Lets also not forget, even on Interoffice Memos, there were
always routing and filing instructions
ie..
cc: XXXX
file:
orig:
None of these are present in any of them. On virtually every bit of correspondence that I have, any admin type worth his salt could tell
who got a copy, where the original was files, the originator, and other
clues about the document.
Perhaps one of the ex-admin types could expound on the subject.
Easy. They were so eager to get something damaging about Bush that when something showed up from someone with seemingly good credentials, they ran with it instead of verifying it.
In short, the dumbasses were fooled by dumbasses.
Ah, the typewriter
But that's another fakeroo area
Kerry sure is consistent in his oddball scams and sneaky methods
Dan flunked out of Marine Basic training.
Hillary's fingerprints are all over this scam...and her objections will be met...Kerry's going DOWN over this!!

Ask just what "investigation" went into authenticating the memos and whether they will offer an on-air retraction.
Demand they apologize for this EXTREME lapse of journalistic practice and basic skills.
Also, contact the president of CBS News, Andrew Heyward:
Phone: (212) 975-4321
Fax: (212) 975-1893

Tell it to the President of CBS News, Andrew Heyward.
Andrew Heyward -- CBS News
Title: President
Department: Headquarters
Phone: (212) 975-4321
Fax: (212) 975-1893
Address: 524 W 57th St, New York, NY 10019
FAX him. Load his desk tomorrow morning. My FAX is already there.
I basically asked him if he was satisfied having his reputation dependent on Dan Rather and the folks at 60 Minutes.
May I offer a suggestion. Simply don't watch ABC, NBC and CBS. And God forbid you should ever watch CNN. We stopped watching them about five years ago. When we discovered FoxNews we were delighted and only watch them now. Of course, our favorite is FreeRepublic - the best of the best!
I just cannot believe how poor the forgeries are. My concern is that we will never be able to prove this and CBS will never back down. All these folks who think Dan is going to be fired or quit are just dreaming. The most you will get from CBS is that they can no longer confirm whether these are authenic or not, but stick with their original story.
This is really bad, thank God for the internet. They must have more of this kind of crap in the wings just waiting to unleash a blizzard in October. The sheeple may not be able to absorb all the incoming propaganda waves fromthe Socialist Media.
The internals for Kerry must be worse than we know for them to be unleashing this at this time.
I am sure there is more to come.
Remember Kerry and the Democrats have deep ties the International Communist's community.
I should have known that.
That makes me very happy!
Thank you!
I'm having so much fun today with this, I don't want it to end!
Flunked Basic training - now I can go to sleep happy. It does seem to get better and better, doesn't it?
"60 Minutes" is all it took to debunk the story.
Bump!
I've been incommunicado all day.
Rather commit seppuku yet?
