Hugh Hewitt has done a magnificent job this afternoon on the Killian memos. He requests that the FReeper do a thread citing what the Globe and others said before they knew it was a fraud. Have at it.
Just heard him discuss the docs with an expert named ?Shriver? Great stuff. Shriver also vouched for the credibility of his colleague, the expert who has said that he is 90% sure the docs are fake. This keeps getting bigger and bigger.
Is it time to demand Rather's resignation?
Is it time to demand Rather's resignation?
YUPPERS!!!!!
HUGH IS DOING AN AWESOME JOB -- I'M LISTENING TO HIM ONLINE AS I TYPE!
KUDOS HUGH!!!
At the very least we should demand an apology..
For sure it is time for the democrats to STOP USING THE DEAD! It is bad enough that they vote in certain polling booths with regularity...but now the dead write memos with technology years ahead of their moment in time.
Compelling radio. Hugh and his staff are doing a terrific job. Hugh is fast becoming my new fav on the radio (Medved's also pretty damn good too).
( forgot promise already...lol!)
The Centering algorithm exactly matches word processor. Would be VERY difficult to do this with purportional typewriter of 1972!
BUSTED!
The guy is qualified!!

Qualifications
The Shiver & Nelson Document Investigation Laboratory is owned by Farrell C. Shiver. His qualifications in the field of forensic document examination include:
No. A head needs to roll for this. It isn't only the document forgery here but the use of Barnes, a Kerry election fund raiser and contributer, which they failed to acknowledge. Rather needs to step down in disgrace.
Hey Hugh--
CBS has changed their story. Here's what Boundless posted on another thread:
Dunno if it's been reported here yet, but CBS has entered
stage 2, denial:
CBS News denies Bush docs forged
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=40376
> "As is standard practice at CBS News, each of the
> documents broadcast on '60 Minutes' was thoroughly
> investigated by independent experts, and we are
> convinced of their authenticity," said Edwards.
Not - as it turns out:
> "Later, however, she sent an e-mail to WND, adding,
> "CBS verified the authenticity of the documents by
> talking to individuals who had seen the documents at
> the time they were written. These individuals were
> close associates of [Bush commander] Colonel Jerry
> Killian and confirm that the documents reflect his
> opinions at the time the documents were written."
Oops.
Prediction of DNC spin: "It was an RNC plant. They
took advantage of our hate and incompetence."

I believe that if they ever can trace this thing back to its roots, we may well find that it all just adds more fuel to the fire regarding the theory that the Clinton's and their operatives are undermining Kerry so Hillary can be in position for 2008.
Either way...if this type of thing gets aired...put a fork into Kerry's campaign because he is done.
Just my two cents and opinion.
Here's a twisted theory. The Bush campaign planted the document knowing CBS would be gullible enough to go for it then secretly pointed out some of the obvious discrepancies and let the ball roll downhill from there. Don't shoot me please. Just thinking out loud.
CBS is just doing what CBS does.
One thing about CBS - - you know where you stand with CBS. That network makes no claims whatsoever that they are "non-biased" or "objective" or any of that other crap thrown out by so many other liberal newsrooms from Newsweek to the New York Times to ABC to CNN, etc.
CBS is now, and has been for decades, an unapologetic shill for the Democrat party and for liberalism in general. Everybody knows it and CBS doesn't care that everybody knows it. Dan Rather is the perfect face of CBS - - his head is not about to roll. I'm sure that at this very moment CBS is poring through all its DNC faxes scrounging for more fake dirt to throw at Bush.
I think the idea to put up these documents started about the time Carvil and the other mud throwers, knew that for Kerry to have a chance had to pull out all the stops.
I bet the sources are Carvil underlings.
Too risky and not true to his convictions for Bush, particularly with his lead widening.
Doug, we need to find out where these fraudulent documents originated.
