"He is simply the best talk show host on the radio today, bar none."

I've never heard him but have heard a lot about him. I listen to Rush, and Hannity most days. Savage, Ingraham a few times a week, and Mark Levin occasionally.
I'll have to check him out.

This really could be Dan Rather's death knell.

Rather, Hewitt & 60 Minutes + Kerry, too.

I have listened to and really enjoy Rush since 1991. Medved is LOTS better. He is my absolute favorite.

Doesn't explain the superscript though...

I'm home now, and I'm working on duplicating the effects in Photoshop. I suspect a filter of some kind was involved to create the faded/photocopied effect.

Your elucidation on the origination of this fabrication has caused great elation and wild gyrations on the foundation of my habitation and the disincorporation of my posterior location

We've found Jesse Jackson's speech writer!

...and there's no point in denying the allegation OR the alligator.

Sorry, you didn't get a perfect match on this one, IMO. Look at the top of the number '1' in particular. Horizontal on the original, 45 degree on the MS Word. Also, the capital 'W' in 'IAW' and the '2' in '1972' show considerable discrepancy. Perhaps it is authentic, or degraded, or just a variation on the font, but this one is not yet disproved by any stretch.

I noticed that too, but I immediately saw this as copying degradation. That is, the original one could have been either. You don't have to disprove every character. A $20 bill can be determined to be a forgery even if parts of it look exactly like the real thing.

I have to agree with you and I nearly always choose Medved over Hannity. Hugh Hewitt is a close second. Out here on the West Coast you can hear Medved on KRLA 870 12-3 and Hewitt 3-5 (or maybe 6).

Sorry, but the "th" after the 111 are clearly in the wrong place and the wrong shape. The one in Word is clearly wider and situated lower. The plane of the horizontal line in the "t" of the superscript is below the top of the 111 in the word document. It is clearly above the 111 in the original document.

Of course, it may mean they used word perfect or set up the superscript different than you did. 8^>

Photocopy degradation + Photoshop blurring/filtering.

I can't make it match exactly, but I can get the same kind of "kinkiness" between individual letters in rotating the document at 0.5% and tweaking some filters and contrast.

In any case, look at the comments here: bloggers analyze this better than I ever could

There are reports that this CANNOT be reproduced in word processors other than Microsoft word, and comments such as: "The letter spacing is identical to that of Times New Roman as currently distributed by Microsoft (among others). In this font, the relative widths of -- for instance -- lower case "l" and "m" are 569:1593. This is a finer gradation than any Monotype machine ever had. (Monotype owns the Times New Roman design.) Therefore, the memos were not typeset in 1973."

The "orginal" looks to be a square-serif font, not Times Roman.
