Lines 1-10 are in standard evenly spaced fonts

Lines 11 and 12 are in proportional fonts.

The form then goes back to even fonts for a while, and then the bottom section is all in proportional fonts again.

Maybe I'm off base here, but something is wrong with the use of this type of font on Kerry's DD214s from 1972.

Yes, it is obvious that at least two typewriters were used to complete the document, but that in itself means little. However, the Silver Star with the "V" is what is suspicious and why does Kerry have THREE different citations for the same award?

The text in lines 11 & 12 are proportional font not like the rest of the form.

Occam's Razor doesn't point to forgery, IMHO. All of the "proportionally spaced" fields are things that would have been filled out the same on many forms. Mimeo'ing them onto the forms would have been out of the question, but using stamps would not seem unreasonable. Though I'm surprised "SINGLE" was typed rather than stamped it doesn't seem implausible.

Why would somebody forging a document use a different font only for those fields which would be filled out the same for most dischargees? It doesn't make any sense. IMHO, the stamped fields do more to suggest legitimacy than denounce it.
