KERRY SPEECH TODAY TO RESOLVE IRAQ?

The Note reports: "In his speech, Kerry is expected to try to finally and once and for all clarify his position on the war in Iraq, and to put President Bush on the defensive for how he's conducted the war in Iraq. 'The reason Iraq is an issue in this campaign is NOT over the question of whether it was right to hold Saddam accountable. The reason it is an issue is because of the way George Bush went to war, making the wrong choices and weakening the United States here at home and overseas,' reads a campaign memo to reporters."

An excerpt:

"George W. Bush made the wrong choices. He himself now admits he miscalculated in Iraq. In truth, his miscalculation was ignoring the advice that was given to him, including the best advice of America's own military. When he didn't like what he was hearing, he even fired the Army Chief of Staff. His miscalculation was going to war without taking every precaution and without giving the inspectors time. His miscalculation was going to war without planning carefully and without the allies we should have had. As a result, America has paid nearly 90% of the bill in Iraq. Contrast that with the Gulf War, where our allies paid 95% of the costs."

Again how is this different from what Cheney said? Cheney said Kerry would lead us open to more terrorism and Kerry said Bush has made us weaker. Sounds the same.

He sounds like a G** d*** accountant. This is the rhetoric that's supposed to inspire his base and give confidence to undecided voters?

Mr. Walinsky recalled that Mr. Kerry flew him around the state of New York for several Vietnam Moratorium protests in October 1969.

"Mr. President, I am anxious to construct a new relationship with our old adversary (Vietnam)".

On 16 April, the Chairman of the Senate Select Committee, Senator John Kerry, stated that he gave the order to destroy "extraneous copies of the documents" and that no one objected. Moreover, he stated that the issue was "moot" because the original remained in the Office of Senate Security "all along."

Kerry was a signer of the“People’s Peace Treaty.” A “people’s” declaration to end the war, drawnup in communist East Germany. It included nine points, all of which were taken from VietCong peace proposals at the Paris peace talks as conditionsfor ending the war

without giving the inspectors time

Earth to John Kerry. Earth to John Kerry.

What did you think the inspectors would find? WMDs? I doubt that since we all know that there weren't any WMDs. Right? So what would we be waiting on the inspectors to do?

Just list the "summary" from all Kerry's speeches in dated order...Like Zell did with Kerry's record.

I just love the latest: $200 Billion Freedom Dollars should go to Social Programs?? Really?? Do we need more social programs? Give me my money John or use it to support our troops AND FREEDOM!

Suggesting everyone send Kerry a little box of spitballs!!

Imagine the Threat.... Imagine the Threat... What don't these people get?.... The 9/11 commission stated... "We did not adequately imagine the threat before it materialized."

John Kerry will have us living in a pre-9/11 mentality and our children will die in bomb attacks on schools by islamic terrorists.

and I am sorry John ... But yes the lives of my 4 young children are priceless. do you hear me priceless... 200 Billion ... No 200 Trillion... Whatever the cost to keep terror away from the U.S.... Freedom comes at a cost... I am retired military 22 years and I would never hesitate to stand on the front lines of freedom for the protection of the country... How dare you put a dollar sign on the the cost of Liberty.

Is the 95% true? It doesn't sound right. And we pay 25% of the UN dues besides. I somehow think we got billed through the UN on this. I believe the US and British were the only ones picking up the tab in the northern and southern zone areas after the war.

So the story is that Kerry is now Flip/Flopping on the first Gulf War. He voted against it.

By holding the first Gulf War as the ideal way to go to battle, it sure seems like he's supporting it now.

Kerry's policy statements are like a Moibus Strip. You can straighten out one section, but that only moves the 'twist' to another.

You got that right. I would rather spend to keep us safe than to worry about someone who won't work.

Get real Kerry no one wants to listen to you any more. Get a clue and take some of your wife's money and buy a life.

I bet you're right. I wonder how much the 12 years of no-fly zone flight ops cost?

You miscalculate a war the second your soldiers hit the ground, duh.

You just keep talking about giving inspectors more time, worm, and see how far that gets you.

Can't let this fool in the White House. OK, maybe he can go in and clean the bathrooms, but that's it.
