Not a single word about the second amendment yet, why we'd have a second amendment, or why we would have to re-ammend the constitution in order to ban military-grade rifles (in the eyes of the founding fathers).
It's not about hunting...

I'm looking now, but I recall a study that shows that the ban on assault weapons had no impact. It did ZERO to reduce the number of violent crimes or the number of law enforcement killed. There goes their major argument.
I say let people have whatever kind of gun they want. It should also be noted that the Constitution doesn't contain the words "hunter" or "hunting".

"...other analyses using a variety of national and local data sources found no clear ban effects on certain types of murders that were thought to be more closely associated with the rapid-fire features of assault weapons and other semiautomatics equipped with large capacity magazines. The ban did not produce declines in the average number of victims per incident of gun murder or gun murder victims with multiple wounds." (National Institute of Justice)

The good news about hit pieces like the above is that it means they got off-message. Too tough to bash Bush for much on this issue.
They can rant about the AWB, but it's dead, too!
And right now we're running out the clock both on DNC smears against Bush as well as against the AWB, so the more that they flail about off-message, the better for us.

BAN ASSAULT PEOPLE
Not the weapons honest citizens need to defend their loved ones against them
When the next big hurricane comes through....the whole USA will better understand why
citizens need weapons to defend their own lives..the lifes of their loved ones and the lives and property of their neighbors...
In Grenada the hurricane brought out looters....and the Cuban prisoners that necessitated our invasion are now also loosed on the un armed populace...
BAN ASSAULT PEOPLE

The freedom-hating leftmedia is pulling out all the stops to get some last-ditch re-enactment of the AWB passed at 5 minutes to midnight on Sept. 13. Bank on it. They've done it before.
You all have called your congresscritters (good or bad) about this by now, right?

Since 1987, almost half of the states have opened up to install a CCW permit system for handguns. Now the AWB will expire. Some good people are doing some good work out there. Keep it up!
