These are the NEW documents "discovered" by CBS with conjunction with their Ben Barnes expose/confessional tonight regarding George Bush's National Guard service.
They've gotten some interesting comments on the Live Thread, so I thought I'd give them their own thread so you people out there with the knowledge can dissect them for their accuracy/truth/existence.
Bump to watch
Side by side signatures:
This is a fascinating thread. Thank you, Howlin!
Self note: Something for home.
It would be intersting to compare other memorandums to other people (from this office at that time,) with the Bush documents, which would tell us what sort of typewriter was used at that time. How could this be accomplished, military archives?
Could be the Democrat stratagist wants it dropped because he knows they're fakes and didn't expect people to be on to it so soon.
Notice how they are shifting the attention to Bush's record instead of Kerry's.....Trying to lay the foundation for everybody did it?
bookmark
They also misspelled USA.....
If they had would Dan Rather notice?
All of this is quite fascinating, but I don't see the relevance of it. Bush talked with his superior officer about how to fulfill his Guard duties and work on a campaign at the same time. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT?
I think this is the only thread I've read this morning, so I thought I'd add my penny and a half (not sure it's worth a full 2 cents). ;)
The signature on the left also has the signers rank in the correct format. That on the right would have been rejected at the first proof-reading.
That's why I'm saying one of our own 527's needs to change the subject with an ad asking why Kerry won't sign to release his own records. Now that we've seen Dubya's records, why can't we see Kerry's?
I wasn't complaining. I really appreciate the info. And you're right, some very helpful stuff their.
Thanks again.
And now a word from our sponsor.
It's gonna start hittin' the fan now so if you can help PLEASE click the boat:

Only if they aren't forgeries.
Nothing; so why is the press making such a big deal out of it?
Exactly.
Somebody had to get Kerry into the Naval Reserves. Who?
Where are the "memos" about his stint in the reserves after he "left" Vietnam?
The Powerline blog now has this story, picked up from here, with valuable insight from a former military clerk/typist.
