A Few of FR's Finest...Every Day...09-8-04..."Dear God from the Dog"

A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

~ Billie, Mama_bear, dutchess, Aquamarine ~

Hi..Giz here...It's been awhile since I did a thread...have been busy with summer vacations and trying to keep my recently adopted little BIG brother Rusty in line. (He has a thing about walking through screens...lot of oops in our house lately) But that's for another day...and I promise you soon. Today we read what some of our finest canine friends might write to God...These were sent to mom but thought they were cute enough to illustrate. ENJOY!

DEAR GOD FROM THE DOG

Dear God, When we get to heaven, can we sit on your couch? Or is it the same old story?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God, Why are there cars named after the jaguar, the cougar, the mustang, the colt, the stingray, and the rabbit, but not ONE named for a dog? How often do you see a cougar riding around? We dogs love a nice ride! Would it be so hard to rename the 'Chrysler Eagle' the 'Chrysler Beagle'?
Dear God, If a dog barks his head off in the forest and no human hears him, is he still a bad dog?
Dear God, We dogs can understand human verbal instructions, hand signals, whistles, horns, clickers, beepers, scent ID's, electromagnetic energy fields, and Frisbee flight paths. What do humans understand?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God, More meatballs, less spaghetti, please.

Dear God, Why do humans smell the flowers, but seldom if ever, smell one another?
Dear God, When we get to the Pearly Gates, do we have to shake a paw to get in?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God, Why do my owners go to the bathroom in the best freshwater bowl in the house?
Dear God, Are there mailmen in Heaven? If there are, will I have to apologize?
Dear God, Let me give you a list of a few things I must remember to be a good dog :
I will not eat the cats' food before they eat it, or after they throw it up.
I will not roll on dead seagulls, fish, crabs, etc., just because I like the way they smell.
The sofa is not a face towel; neither are Mom and Dad's laps.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The garbage collector is not stealing our stuff.
My head does not belong in the refrigerator.
I will not bite the officer's hand when he reaches in for Mom's driver's license and registration.

I will not play tug-of-war with Dad's underwear when he's on the toilet.

Sticking my nose into someone's crotch is not an acceptable way of saying 'hello.'
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I do not need to suddenly stand straight up when I'm lying under the coffee table.
I must shake the rainwater out of my fur before entering the house.
I will not throw up in the car.
I will not come in from outside and immediately drag my butt across the carpet.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The cat is not a squeaky toy; so when I play with him and he makes that noise, it's usually not a good thing.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay...Giz back here...hope you enjoyed this...let me add one more...as many of you know I was a "dumped stray" who was "taken in" by my folks as many of our FreeperPets have been....Before I take my nap let me add.....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear God, in case I haven't said so....thanks for finding us such special homes on earth especially for those of us lucky to live with Freepers. Life is good!

2) Once there you can click on any month and even click to the right to go into next year. Once you are in the month that you joined FR you will need to click on the number in the calendar and then an add item screen will come up.
3) In the next box enter your name in the "Calendar Text" field and then click on submit.
4) If any of the screens fail to load simply click on refresh in your browser and that will usually fix it.
5) If all else fails or simply if you want me to do this for you send me a FReepmail and I will gladly do it for you. ~Mixer

(((((((dutchess)))))))

Both .45MAN and I took a little time to come see your thread and were so glad we did. It is so funny yet poignant - and the graphics absolutely ****ROCK****

Thank you for this great presentation of the appreciation of our furry canine friends - even my cats got a kick out of it!
:-)

Thank you ((((((Mama_Bear)))))))

Our plans are still on schedule. We are very blessed to still be able to make this move with all that's going on down there.

Floridians are very resilient people - I know because I was one for many years. The ones who are threatening to leave because of the weather - well, that only means more job opportunities for .45MAN and me! :-)

LOL!!! I am so excited for you both...what an adventure you have in store!!!!

P.S. Thanks for your kudos on the thread. It was nice having a "fun" diversion from the left rants!!!!

Did your friends from England make it back okay????

Yes they did. Got a card from them yesterday.
They are grateful for all those who expressed concern and asked us to pass on "Thank You from the bottom of our hearts."

Such a fun theme today, dutchess !!
How about this one:

"Dear God, thank you for her being able to read,
and please guide her to comply with the suggestion."
