Those of you here who are polipundit.com readers may know me as Alexander K. McClure, the site's resident polling junkie. I remember in 2000 Gallup's daily tracking poll. Do any of you know if the daily tracking has already began?

I think Gallup will settle at about a 5-point lead for Bush among likely voters. I happen to think the Newsweek/Time polls were roughly accurate, as long as people keep in mind they measured the race during the GOP convention. If we had voted last Thursday or Friday or so Bush would have won by 10.
Well, if it begins today, then yes...
Yeah...the economy seems to be getting stronger, so I suppose Iraq/terrorism will be the issue.
It's my belief that the President was quite effective last week because he tied Iraq to terrorism.
