Hamas pledged revenge Tuesday for an Israel Air Force missile strike that hit a Hamas site in Gaza City around midnight Monday, killing 14 militants and wounding 30.
All of the casualties were Hamas members, Israel Radio reported, and four of the wounded sustained critical injuries. The first 11 bodies identified all belonged to Hamas members in their 20s, none of them senior figures.
The strike targeted a Hamas community center complex, including a building and an outdoor lot that the army says is used by the Hamas military wing for training.
An Israel Defense Forces statement listed events that it said took place at the lot in recent days, including assembly of a large bomb and a suicide bomber's vest, practice in hijacking vehicles and training in preparing and firing mortars and rockets.
Dozens of members of the Hamas military wing, Iz a-Din al-Qassam, were meeting at the building during the time of the attack, Palestinian sources said. The building, which includes offices, is named after Hamas founder Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, who was assassinated by Israel in April.
However, a statement by the Hamas military wing said the IDF struck a "scouts camp where a group of fighters was training," and pledged to hit back at Israel.
"This ugly Israeli crime ... will not pass unpunished," said Hamas spokesman Mushir al-Masri, calling it "a new wave of aggression committed against our people and against our sons."
"It's an ongoing war," said al-Masri. "One day for us and one day for them."
Angry militants gathered at Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, some with blood on their clothes from helping victims, shouting, "Revenge, revenge."
Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and the security establishment decided last week to increase assassinations of Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip, in the wake of last week's double bus bombing in Be'er Sheva, for which Hamas claimed responsibility. Sixteen Israelis were killed in last Tuesday's attack.
The IDF is preparing for the possibility that the missile strike could lead to an increase of Qassam rocket attacks from northern Gaza on the Negev town of Sderot. Palestinians fired a Qassam rocket at Sderot on Monday, where it landed near a cemetery and did not cause any injuries.
Witnesses said IAF helicopter gunships fired five missiles at the Hamas complex, located in the Sajaiya neighborhood in the eastern part of Gaza City - a known Hamas stronghold. The helicopters hovered overhead after the explosions.
Gaza sources said there were two rounds of missile strikes: two missiles were fired at first, and then the rest were fired after additional Hamas activists arrived at the scene.
Thanks! I really needed some cheering up!
The only thing that could make me feel better would be some car swarm pics and The Gibblets Dance!
Jeremiah said it well:
"Bring upon them the day of evil and destroy them with double destruction."
I'm telling you, the Pallies are like monkeys in a cage flinging their sh*t around the room.
Life is hell and then you die.
note hamas: grab the bull you get the horns!
Bomb a bus, eat a hellfire.
do pali "summer camps for children" always have "children" who look like grown men and wear khakis and combat fatigues?

But before the "ambulance" or we'd have heard about it.
Anyway, is the first IDF use of a Hamas tactic against
Hamas?
Thanks for posting!
A taste of things to come for the Palis, I hope.
I'm sure the IDF is finally done. You may go about your business.
Hey, these Pali 'scouts' can aim towards a 72 virgins merit badge, and maybe grab a first-aid badge en route!
Aaa-Oooooooooo!(bad wolf howl)
"Gaza sources said there were two rounds of missile strikes: two missiles were fired at first, and then the rest were fired after additional Hamas activists arrived at the scene."
I guess IDF is learning from the terrorist, hit them first then wait a few minutes and hit them again. Nice Job!
Beautiful. Maybe one of these days they'll drop a cluster bomb on a car swarm.
Does anyone know if that is some sort of hand signal that one wounded guy is doing...pointing with both hands?
I didn't catch that. it seems the only way to deal with these guys.
I really liked the shot of that terrorist leader with his brains spilling out of his head onto a tray from some months ago. IMO, we need to see a lot more of that. Terrorists deservedly blown apart like the monstrous vermin that they are. Sub-human al-Sadr has already lived way too long. If he were in front of my house, my only problem would be selecting the most appropriate weapon with which to send him to hell. The entire civilized world has no greater mission than to march into Syria and conquer those terrorist monsters right now.
Pictures look like a good start. Hope Israel does encores.
