Bush Guard Service, The True Story
ChronWatch ^ | August 26, 2004 | Gordon Bloyer

Posted on 09/06/2004 8:51:59 PM PDT by quidnunc

This is the only place that you will get the full and true story of President Bush’s Air National Guard service. There are no UNANSWERED questions. There are no missing records. He did not miss any meetings. The truth is known. You can find everything in this article, in other publications but none of the others are complete. You have to put them all together to get the full story. It is a shame that our national "objective" media refuse to do their job and put the whole story together.

First, in answer to the charge that Bush was AWOL or missed meetings, George Bush was NEVER assigned to the Alabama Guard. This is a myth promoted by the "objective" media. Here is what really happened. Here is what the head of the Alabama Guard said.

Turnipseed states Bush was never ordered to report to the Alabama Air National Guard. He points out that Bush never transferred from the Texas Air National Guard to the Alabama Air National Guard. He remained in the Texas Guard during his stay in Alabama. This was confirmed by the Texas Guard. And Turnipseed added that Bush was never under his command or any other officer in the Alabama Guard.

Turnipseed added that Bush was informed of the drill schedule of the Alabama Guard as a courtesy so he could get credit for drills while in Alabama for his service record in the Texas Guard. There was no compulsory attendance. This was also confirmed by the Texas Guard.

Good. Little reported also is what his "service" entailed. This was not a walk in the park.Beyond training in them, he completed requiredknowledge manuveres and handling of an aircraft which many deemed unsafe. It was a leathal tool to defend America and that is why he mastered it.It was good enough for our guys, it was good enough for him.He did this while his Dad was chief of the CIA or something. Wouldn't that make him a peach of a POW?The dems would expect him to be on the battlefield,in the dirt, and not training to rescue those who were? Not everyone can handle massive, powerful, machines which go faster than you can think, especially if you're dimrat.

I have no doubt that President Bush served our country well.

I'm more concerned about Edwards. Why did he take the college deferment, and not serve in the military at all during 1970-1974?

More importantly, does anyone care? I've yet to hear this mentioned in the media at all.

Thanx for the post, busybody!

Tonite one of the channels also had on John "Bill" Calhoun who apparently testifies to GWB's sign-in with the AL guard (and cites 6 or 7 others who also remember him) and who also says he came forward in 2000 when the issue was first raised.

Best FRegards,
Kimtana

They were being used in combat, in RVN when Bush signed up.
Plus, the fatal accident rate for the F-102A was high
(higher than the AV-8 Harrier today) and probably higher
than the combat loss rate for some types in RVN.

Signing up with the Reserve (as Kerry did with USNR) was
often seen as a safe way to serve by those facing the
draft, but it depended on the service and the assignment
you put in for.

Signing up for pilot in any Reserve was fraught with risk.

Had Kerry put in for Naval Aviation, SEAL, Seabee, or
PBR, we might even buy his "volunteered for combat"
hype. He actually signed up for deep-water Navy (very
safe), and only transfered to PCFs because at the time
their Market Time ops weren't that dangerous.

By the time Kerry was trained on PT-109s, excuse me, I
mean PCFs, Zumwalt had SEALORD ops going - up river,
draw fire.

I suspect that even the prospect of this really rattled
Kerry, because he reportedly showed up in Vietnam 17 days
past the ordered date, then bitched constantly until he
figured out how to game the medals system (with Rassmann's
help, perhaps?)

Kerry needs to stop talking about Bush's service,
because as with many Kerry complaints, the truth does
not reflect favorably on Kerry when people dig up the
facts.

Very accurate article. The article describes the process that was/is in place in the ANG. I was in the Texas Air National Guard from 76-99, it was routine when an individual, for whatever reason, if approved,(and Pres Bush was approved) to drill with another unit. The usual procedure was for the individual to take with them/obtain at the unit a NGB Form 105. The 105 was nothing but a printed "IBM card" Certification of Attendance. They were filled in with Name. Rank,SSN, dates of duty, and signed. Normally an Air Technician or other supervisory person would then certify that the duty was performed as indicated indicated. Then the NGB Fm 105 would be returned the individuals unit, were the person who authorized training to be performed would certify the form, and forward it Base Finance for pay, where it would also be credited points for retirement

I agree that this should be made available to every possible news media outlet. The liberal newsrooms won't like it, but at least we will KNOW that every time they run with the latest DNC-faxed variation of the "Questions About Bush's Guard Service" story, they are again just being themseleves - - shameless liars, scumbags, and shills for the Democrat Party USA.
