The "official" campaign kickoff has arrived. A modest proposal for all of you: COMMIT YOURSELF TO ONE SERIOUS CAMPAIGN ACTIVITY THIS WEEK!!! Share ideas and make your pledge, here. I will return with a "WHAT WILL YOU DO THIS WEEK!" thread each Monday, maybe more often than that for the rest of the campaign to urge you on.

Try something for me...Ask him how he would view it if FDR had sent your Dad off the other side of the world to fight a determined enemy, then decided that his unit didn't need any funds or new equipment to do it. That's what John Kerry and John Edwards did to our boys when they voted for the war and against the $87 billion.

You might also ask his opinion on trial lawyers who sue the crap out of doctors. Maybe bring it up as a non-related issue, maybe mention the amazing and true fact that there is only one neurosurgeon left in Illinois south of Springfiled because of our horrid malpractice suit laws, or mention one of the many places that are without obstetricians for the same reason. Then stick in the knife: It's people like John Edwards who brought us to this, and the Kerry-Edwards ticket isn't getting all the trial lawyer donations because the trial lawyers are so sure Kerry will fix the system. The money-grubbing doctor-ruining trial lawyers are scared to death of Bush's second term reforms.

BTW, has he ever explained how Bush is responsible for medical costs that have been rising steeply since at least the late 80s? If he hasn't, make him. That by itself could help him down the road to thinking straight.

On Friday, 9/10 - a bunch from the San Diego Chapter will be attending a rally in support of our troops. Roger Hedgecock will be there and will be doing his show live. If you want to listen live, it's 3-6 pm PT at KOGOAM.com.

Also, a guy by the name of Howard Kalooggian (the guy who headed the recall of Gray Davis) will be at the rally. It's his group who invited us to join them. It should be a lot of fun.

Here's what I did this week:

Redesigned Chris Strow for 10th Congression District website. I volunteered my time and effort to his campaign, noting the site was not usable under Netscape. The original web designer's skills are far above my own, but he didn't have time to put the finishing touches on, and it's VERY IMPORTANT for a candidate to have a clean, professional-looking site.

Here is something everyone can easily do. Call your election commission and ask what the deadline for mailing out absentee ballots to military servicemen is. In Tennessee it is 45 dys before the election (Sept 18). Then a couple of days before that, call and ask if it has been done. If you get an answer of anything other than, "Why, yes, of course it has been done", call your state representative and senator, US representative and senators, county commissioners, the media, and anyone else you can think of and light a fire under their butts!

Regarding magnetic plastic backing for stickers...I go to a copy/print center like Kinkos or other and you can buy magnetic backing in a 2 foot roll...they sell it by the foot.

Then I cut a piece (cuts easily with scissors)to fit my sticker, put the sticker on it and have a magnetic sticker...Advantages, I can move it from car to car, I can remove it, and I can post it higher than my bumper, where it can be better seen.

Last time, I bought a 2 foot by 2 foot magnetic backing for about $8, so the cost is really cheap to make mag stickers yourself!!

Tell me about it Renegade. I've got a brother that thinks the same, but so do many people. What they don't seem to comprehend is what are they going to do with their healthcare cards or vouchers or whatever it is they are seeking when there is NO FRIGGIN' HOSPITAL because the terrorists have nuked or bombed it??? The domestic cells in this country could trash a lot of our infrastructure and then what good are all these supposed little perks Kerry is promising? These guys are major losers and anyone who votes for them is either young or stupid. I do understand why the kids are mixed up but anyone over 30, I just don't get it.

Oh, I have no idea. I just did a FR search (Under, "Bumper Sticker") and posted what I say. You can, however, place them all in a WORD file, size them to your liking, and print them up on magnetic paper.

Joined the UPenn College Republicans! I found Fascists scrawled on my Bush poster... just printed a fresh new one.
