I tried to laminate them using clear contact paper. The problme was that I cut the clear contact paper even with the stickers instead of having just the slightest bit of the clear contact paper wrap over to the back side. We have been having so much rain here in NC from the hurricanes and such that self-printed bumper stickers here have to have some protection.
I have put the other stickers from pro-Bush and anti-Kerry groups on the same magnetic paper and they do not seem to have a problem staying on the car. I sure saves trying to eventually scrape them off after they become worn.

I confess, I'm not particularly motivated to do much. My best guess is that that Bush will carry my state with 70% of the vote. Times like this, I almost wish I lived in a battleground state. Then again, I'm comforted in the knowledge that as happy I am with the situation in Texas, there is a Democrat who feels the situation is hopeless here.

Be careful and don't place credit cards, computer disk, etc on the magnetic material... Also Newsmax has Bush/Cheney magnetic stickers available for 2.99 plus shipping or did...

Thanks for the tip. As you know, I am easily befuddled by technical stuff, which includes magnets. LOL!

Where can I get a magnetic Bush/Cheney bumper sticker? I'm not allowed to have stuff on my car that promotes a political party when I am using it for state business, but I sure want to be able to have it on there the rest of the time.

I already told my brother in Florida ( 14 years difference )to go Fuc__ himself if he votes for Scarry .He thinks that Bush is the reason for all the health care costs in the country . His liberal friends are feeding him a lot of bull$hit and he is listening to them . He is computer illeterate and 71 years old. I tried to explain to him that Kerry stands for all the things our father fought AGAINST in WW II, but he is blinded by the company he keeps .
I told him that this is comparable to a second Civil War and brothers fought against brothers in that conflict ...

Actually, I don't right now. My old one crapped out some time ago and I haven't gotten around to getting another one. Actually, If I could just find the magnets with the right dimensions, I could attach a regular one to the magnet, but we don't have a Hobby Lobby or a Michaels, which is where I would normally look for something like that. I don't think Walmart has them in that size.

Hmmmm. Home Depot and Lowe's have various magnets. Magnetic paper is at Office Depot. And if you do a search in the FReeperville search engine for, "Bumper Sticker," there's some links to good bumper sticker sites on the threads.

Yeah, I've gotten bumper stickers from the FReepstuff store before. We don't have a Lowe's, and the Home Depot isn't opening for another month or two. I'll be in Little Rock in a couple of weeks. I'll have to look while I'm down there.

Phone calling, letters to the editor, lists, registering voters, and putting up signs...just the usual.
Voter registration deadline for us is October 2nd. Not sure if that is a federal date or not but that means we have less than 1 month to register new voters.

" I have to help it into my Epson Photo printer or it doesn't feed." How do you like that printer? When I get another, I want one that will do an exceptionally good job on photos. Seems like Epson is the brand most reccommended by scrapbooking magazines.

"What do you do to stop the ink from running when the sticker gets rained on?" Have you tried a waterproofing silicone or clear acrylic spray? Not sure how durable they are if exposed to prolonged periods of rain, but might be worth a shot.
