BESLAN, Russia (CNN) -- Russian state-run television says the government has a man in custody who was part of the group responsible for the deadly school siege in Beslan.

The network showed footage of the man, whose name was not given, being heavily guarded by commando forces.

The suspect, who spoke on camera, proclaimed his innocence.

"Of course I pitied the children, I swear to Allah. I have children myself. I didn't shoot. I swear to Allah," he said. "I don't want to die. I swear to Allah, I want to live."

Does he have access to international observors, a Koran, a prayer mat, and three square meals a day? (/sarcasm off)

Well we could always toss him a pillow, a Bible, and a ham sandwich along with a beer chaser. /sarcasm>

I remember reading of incidents of Arab terrorism in Leon Uris' book "Exodus", specifically an incident where the Arabs kidnap and rape to death a young Jewish female settler. But the consensus of the MSM was that Uris' book was "propaganda".

"Death by bonga-bonga."

The proper response is the Potemkin Gambit; wherein the Russians first show compassion by holding a trial with full rights for this particular scumbag in such a way that everyone in the world is impressed by how fair the Russians are being.

This will have the effect of shaming radical Muslims worldwide.

In the meantime, Putin's Intel is verifying the regions of the world that had the most to do with this war crime.

Upon the final guilty verdict in the trial, punishment is then meeted out to every tainted region in the world.

This carries an added psycological injury with it because of the earlier humanitarianism shown by giving full rights to the defendent at his trial...along with preventing large numbers of future terrorists from being able to repeat such madness (due to the Mecca Delenda Est treatment).

To that end, I've already read on-line that Putin has called for mobilizing 500,000 Russian troops.

War is coming.

Putin said the fall of the Soviet Union had left the country unable to react to attacks and promised to reform security forces.

Hey, Vlad baby, that was 15 years ago. What's holding you up. Get with the program.

Well gosh, they wouldn't print it if it wasn't true. (Slamming the MSM, not you.)

How many whacks with a clue-by-four will it take before they wake up?

Zazel is the spirit of Saturn. Bartzabel is the spirit of Mars.

Zazel represents the negative power of Saturn - sorrow, death, loss, and restriction. Bartzabel represents the negative power of Mars - war, conflict, and violent destruction.

If one believes in that sort of thing...

It is certainly reminiscent of the dehumanization of Jews at the hands of Nazi Germany.

Forget the trial. Putin is no girly man. This is an act of war, and I cannot believe that Putin would trivialize it by putting an enemy combatant on trial for murder.

I still prefer the Byzantine solution: don't kill him, blind him (and maybe cut off a hand for good measure) and send him home with a few exhortations about how Christians are merciful and do not kill their captives. He gets a chance to repent, becomes a burden on his homeland, is denied Islamic martyrdom, and, hopefully horrifies some of his fellow Muslims who might otherwise turn to terrorism.

We do. It's called "the perp walk" - Michael Jackson, Timothy McVeigh, OJ Simpson, .... but we don't let the public get too close.

This terrorist might have a Lee Harvery Oswald moment if he were paraded in the US. I, myself, would have trouble not acting like Jack Ruby to this camel humping sandflea.

So Mr. Terrorist, are you ready to convert from Islam, or are you ready to accept the sword?""

Why bother? I don't think you can trust any one of them to tell you what day of the week it is. They thrive on lying to an infidel. Why feed this POS one more meal that someone worked hard to provide? There are other mouths far more worthy.

He was there. He didn't stop any of it. He didn't help any of the children. He is lying to try and save his useless hide.

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it will still be a pig.

I was just paraphrasing the option given to the infidels by Islam (and if he renounced Islam he would be guilty of apostasy, a fatwa would be issued and he'd be dead anyway). He's toast.
