Russian TV has shown pictures of a man who is believed to have been one of the hostage-takers at the school in the southern town of Beslan. Channel One state television showed the man being dragged into a room by two masked commandoes.
His hands cuffed and locked behind his back, he makes a plea to the camera.
It is the very first evidence provided by the Russian authorities to back up their claim to have captured three of the hostage-takers alive.
In the footage, shown on Sunday evening, the man, whose accent strongly suggests he is from the region and not a foreigner, makes a plea to the camera.
"I really didn't go there to die and I still don't want to die. I swear, I swear to Allah the almighty, that I want to live," he says.
'Triumphalist'
The presenter says the alleged hostage-taker was trying to escape when the special forces caught him.
He had apparently shaved off his beard and was trying to flee with the liberated hostages.
The report was highly triumphalist and ended with images of the corpses of the dead hostage-takers crawling with flies.
The reports may go some way to reassuring ordinary Russians, many of whom are confused by the contradictory messages about casualty figures and exactly what happened in Beslan.
The incident has been a massive embarrassment for the Kremlin, but the message from state television tonight is that everything is now under control.
Before anything else, they should make him attend the 350 funerals. They should put photographs of each and every victim in his cell, they should starve him as he did those children, and anything after that, put panties on his head...
Yes --- hostage-taker or rebel. Those are the politically correct terms for these Muslims. One thing --- until political correctness is gone --- we are not ready to defend ourselves against this.

Well...ummm.....Funny to have to say anything good about any terrorist but.....
In the end, he did the right thing. May God have mercy on his soul.
Of course he does not want to die ... he wants others to die that disagree with his view.
Surely he guesses that his odds of surviving after being part of a massacre leaving hundreds of wounded/dead Russian schoolchildren aren't too hopeful. And invoking allah when Russian religious believers are majority Orthodox Christians isn't a good idea either. The only thing he should beg for is that they kill him quickly, and that he's not treated like those children were.
This Muslim terrorists quite often seem to be recruited from the very stupid, careless, inhumane dregs of Islamic societies. Bin Laden was laughing on a videotape shortly after 9/ll that almost all the hijackers didn't know it was really a short suicide trip for them. There was the idiot would-be shoe bomber, Richard Reid. And using those brain-washed, completely ignorant Chechyan peasent women to put on bombs is obscene, but the Muslim controllers hiding safely behind them are the lowest of all.

Don't know where to start. It is all about "him" and what he wants. Absolutely no comprehension of what he has done to absolutely defenseless children. Praying to Allah? Is his god the Devil? If not, Allah is grossly insulted by the actions of this man.
In the days of the future when we have robots or cloned subhumans, we could expect such atrocities because they have no soul, no humanity.
Apparently, the Middle East has found a way to produce subhumans to use as their war missiles.
These people are the same as serial killers. I really believe that they are recruiting those with a love of cruelty. Maybe such people are drawn to the Muslim religion for the freedom to do their killing without recompense.

A variation on that is you take a 2-inch diameter stake, insert into terrorists butt, set other end into hole in the ground. Terr stays alive as long as he can remain standing. Longer and more satisfying for the audience
I have a feeling that a large number of the women suicide bombers would otherwise have been victims of "honor killings" for some reason or other, and were given a choice: a slow death, or a quick one
