Okay, I'm convinced. He doesn't want to ban $20,000 Italian shotguns.

His ears'll be ringing for days. How's he going to hear what the voices are telling him? Hahahahahahahaha. Thanks for the laugh.

BTW, we are born, most of us, with about 20% more cilia in our cochlea than we need for "perfect" hearing. As our ears are exposed to loud sounds and noise, some cilia is killed. The reason we don't realize we've lost some of our hearing for years is because we usually have this overabundance of cilia to start with.
But shooting w/o protection, like Kerry is doing in these pix, will create a hearing loss, usually in the opposite ear than the side we hold the rifle on. Keep exposing your ears to loud sounds and noise, and it's only a matter of time until you need to learn a new language . . . sign language.

Pheasant under glass is probably more his style;)

Most people hunt without hearing protection. The reason for both eye and ear protection on the range has to do with the frequency of fire (usually, you don't fire hundreds of shots while hunting, unless you're a really lousy shot) and the proximity of sound reflecting walls -- the woods tend to be accoustically dead.
I wouldn't recommend going out without eye protection, however. Stuff happens, wads get lodged, bullets get wedged, and then the followup shot blows the barrel apart. Hey, you're operating high energy machinery. Protect your eyes!

Kerry has been skeet shooting many times. In fact, at a recent trap shooting event he mentioned his family's many snipe hunt adventures. Kerry stated, "They aren't very big, but when you get enough of those little rascles in the skillet, you've got some tastey fixin's."Names were changed to protect the innocent. Snipes have never been known to attack people in the wild.
What??? Hunting snipes with a gun?!?!?!
EVERYONE KNOWS THAT YOU HUNT SNIPES LATE AT NIGHT WITH BURLAP OR CANVAS BAGS!

Judging from the look on his face, it might be the after-affect of a hit to the forehead.
